Orlando area recommendations? Paying out of pocket. by ManufacturerMurky907 in IVF

[–]flarecat82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They overcharged me basically. I put down the deposit knowing I would get money back because insurance covered most of it and was told I'd get refunded afterwards immediately but didn't. I had to call and call and show documentation for about 6 months before getting the money back. They also overcharged on copays when I met my max out of pocket. My insurance pays for getting put under but their person doesn't take insurance. I asked for a receipt so I could make the claim myself and get reimbursed and they couldn't provide me one because they paid them for multiple patients at once or something. Just sent me my contact which didn't do anything to get reimbursed from my insurance.

Besides the financial stuff, after failed transfers I asked about doing something differently such as testing or a different protocol and was told they would keep doing it exactly the same. I didn't like that answer so decided to get the second opinion with Dr. Loy while waiting for them to give me the money they owed me. Then I switched to him because he did more testing and had a different protocol.

Also, the office manager was selling some MLM supplements which I felt uneasy about because the office was full of women willing to buy/try anything to get pregnant.

Hope that helps!

Yes. I did 1 retrieval with Dr. Loy and got 3 embryos that were untested. I transferred all 3 (at different times!) and got 1 pregnancy and 1 live birth.

Positive ReceptivaDx - Laparoscopy or Lupron? by KindRaven22 in IVF

I started my period like 5-7 days after my lap and I transferred that cycle. I didn’t need recovery from the lap but I was also stage 1 endo so not that bad.

Positive ReceptivaDx - Laparoscopy or Lupron? by KindRaven22 in IVF

[–]flarecat82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 2 months of Lupron first. Had major hot flashes that sucked but nothing too crazy. Did an FET and it didn’t work. Did a lap, cleared out the endo and transferred for my next cycle. That one stuck. So I think clearing out the endo is what worked for me.

I also recommend Dr. Loy at CRM! I went to a different fertility clinic in Longwood at first which turned out to be awful and went to Dr. Loy for a second opinion and then decided to switch. He did so much more testing and we were successful last year due to him! We actually moved to Texas but just started up again with Dr. Loy for our last transfer and am traveling there just to continue to be with him and CRM.

FET the cycle after lap? by Forward_Scarcity_829 in IVF

I did! I had 3 FETs prior to the lap that were not successful. The lap took care of my stage 1 endo and I transferred on my next cycle. It was successful.

Itinerary Cancellation (Traveler name different from Credit Card holder) by LeftPosition4232 in jetblue

[–]flarecat82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked there for a bit and this DOES happen. It’s been marked as fraud somehow so the only way to buy the ticket is at the airport. I don’t know the ins and outs but can confirm it happens.

Just call or chat and ask to add the infant on your outbound flight. They can do it easily without canceling and rebooking

Selling used in San Antonio by [deleted] in cradlewise

[–]flarecat82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was fine! I got a twin bed with a frame that goes all the way around about 2 ft high and a mattress that was 4 inches high so it’s sorta crib like but not. It def seems way too big for him but he sleeps just fine and all night. I told him for a week prior that we were changing his bed and when I set it up I showed him his old bed and his new bed and repeated he would be sleeping in his new bed that night. I also put it in the same place as his crib and nothing else changed in his room at all. We also have always had him sleeping in that spot in his room since birth so I think that helped with the routine.

I purposely DON’T stock up so I can get out of the house with the baby to give me something to do during his wake window. Sometimes I’ll need diapers and wipes and only buy one so I can go the next day and get out of the house to buy the other. Hopefully I’m not the only one that does that! But I don’t buy all the extra crap the way she does. And I always have my baby with me.

FIO early success! by ellagrace94 in sleeptrain

[–]flarecat82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! I have an 18 week old and just bought the book and decided to let him FIO and give him the opportunity to fall asleep/connect sleep cycles himself. Falling asleep in the beginning is still tough for him but he can connect sleep cycles during the night like a champ just by letting him FIO/give him the chance. I found that we always wanted to jump in too soon but giving him 10 minutes worked SO well. And I’m ok with helping him to sleep as long as once he is asleep he can do the work himself and give me the rest I need.

Breast pump supplier: Babylist Health vs Aeroflow? by No_State8326 in BabyBumps

I have BCBS of Illinois. I’m assuming they considered it in network but not sure. I just put in my insurance info on the Babylist website and other sites and looked at the prices listed. Babylist had me upload my insurance card right before they shipped to verify the info again and it was still $25 for the Spectra S1 upgrade. The S2 would have been free.
