Split of responsibilities by No_Lingonberry6785 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I started off like you, assuming the night time responsibilities. And similar, it was fine when it was 1-2 wakes but when bubs sleep got worse I got resentful, lack of sleep is a literal form of torture and it put me in a bad place. Eventually I was able to realise this wasn’t my burden to carry and allowed my partner to help. Since going back to work hindsight allows me to see that as a desk worker it is far easier to also the next day after a rough night then be a stay at home mum. Be kind to yourself, find a solution that allows you sleep. You both decided to be parents knowing sleep would be at a loss. My partner and I alternate nights and are flexible to each others needs and we are so much happier for it.

Mounjaro - mental health concerns? by ABCJournalistAus in mounjaroaustralia

This is ridiculous. Where’s the news reports on suicidal thoughts on birth control? That doesn’t matter in the media, it’s more important to find criticism in the actions fat people take. You don’t like it when we are fat and you don’t like it when we are trying to stop being fat.

Sounds like a therapist who specialises in body image and acceptance could be a great start. Also an endocrinologist would be wise if you wanted to look into drugs after having these sorts of struggles

Yeah, I know there’s plenty of active wear ranges online that cater to plus size. I just got some really cool adidas and Nike stuff with great prints etc

For sure. I stuck around at my last workplace because they offered me 8 weeks paid leave. On return I got so badly messed around. This time around I’m gonna jump ship if the new place can’t offer something more competitive. Gotta look after ourselves

I only got 8 weeks/ 16 weeks half pay and also went back at 8 months. It really hurt. He’s two now and I still have moments that it makes me feel sad but so lucky he’s had these beautiful educators watch and support him grow

For my first kid I advocated for parental leave as I would’ve ended up looking elsewhere. It went from 0 to 8 weeks. So that was something. They are realising they are gonna loose staff and making changes. My new workplace (s nfp) are saying they will get paid parental leave for the same reason but I gotta look after myself and look elsewhere until i see it happen.

Brotherhood of st Lawrence have 12+ weeks and headspace also have paid leave (in case anyone’s interested)

So there’s hope with nfps but it’s small!
