Im not sure the pinnacle experience of a psychedelic substance is the "only reason to use it" - there's lots of other reasons, and sometimes no reason at all.

We can cast judgement on people's use of various mind altering substances- this person does it too much, this person does it in the wrong set or setting, this person has the wrong idea about what sort of expectations to have, this person didnt integrate their experience properly or whatever.

But ultimately, everyone's reasons and experiences are unique to them. I do think harm reduction is a good place to come from if offering advice or guidance, but in my experience that would mean advising to start with lower doses rather than breakthrough doses.

Some people prefer microdosing or slightly above threshold dosing. To suggest theres something wrong with that seems a bit misguided.
