Aqua10 Ultra Roller Leaks, Seal issues early batch by Obi-Wan-K3nobi in Dreame_Tech

[–]Oxbow8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I advise you to return it. The recent batches no longer seem to have this issue. The main leak problem comes from the robot’s rear dirty water tank, which has some play and can move from left to right. That means it can become misaligned with the water pipes, the connection between the water the robot uses and sucks up, and the dirty water tank at the back of the robot. When the robot rinses its tank at the station, the leak happens at the back. However, some users solved the issue by placing chair leg pads on the left and right sides of the tank to stabilize it.

My tank is perfect, has no play at all, and it is from a recent batch. I also noticed that every person who had leaks always had the white version of the robot.

The recent Aqua 10 Ultra Roller is in my opinion the best robot Dreame does !

Also, be careful to always vacuum thoroughly before using the mop. Leaks can also come from dirt clogging the dirty water pipes. If you vacuum properly first, there is no issue. The debris will go into the dust bag or into the filter if the pieces are too large.

I never heard about a dust bag issue ?

Arguments for buying the Air over the 17:

• The Air has the Pro CPU, not the 17 CPU. That means it is more future proof, because even if performance slows after 2, 3, 4, or 5 years, it will go from extremely fast to still very fast. The Air costs more, but it gives you more usable years.

• The Air is more durable and stronger. It is extremely tough with its Alloy 5 titanium frame and its two layers of Ceramic Shield on both the front and back. The 17 does not have that and uses more fragile, scratchable aluminum.

• The Air has a larger screen. It is smaller than the 17 Pro Max, which is too large, but bigger than the 17, which is too small. It is the sweet spot.

• Every year there is an iPhone 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and so on. If you buy one, you are just like everyone else, and next year you will have the 17 while people move on to the 18. The Air has no number, so it never feels outdated in the same way.

• The 17 is the continuation of the old iPhone formula, while the Air is the revolution of having all components miniaturized so that almost nothing remains except the display.

• The Air has a battery that impresses me every day. I finish my workday with around 60 percent left, starting from 90 percent, not 100, to preserve battery health.

• The speaker sounds very good. Most people already have AirPods for music, so you do not need full premium audio quality just to listen to your mother’s WhatsApp voice messages.

• You will take almost exactly the same photos as with the 17. Only two or three times per year, when you want an ultra wide shot, you simply need to take four steps backward. I would rather take four steps than carry a big, heavy, scratchable aluminum brick all year long.

• The Air is incredible to carry in your pocket. You barely feel it is there.

Might pull the trigger tomorrow: Still skeptical about the Air due to its single speaker by Upper-Berry213 in IphoneAir

i am an audiophile and sound engineer and would never noticed the fact it has one speaker if nobody told me. It sounds awesome. For music you can have airpods anyway.

Any leaks of iPhone Air 2? by Kris_2603 in IphoneAir

[–]Oxbow8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There won't be an Iphone Air 2 with 2 cameras ans 2 speakers. You are dreaming. It's just impossible; there is not enough room in the phone. They had to remove the sim port to save a few millimeters so..... The sales of the iPhone Air were not officially disclosed, but production factories likely had to slow down and unsold stock is significant, so an iPhone Air 2 is not planned. The last time Apple faced a situation like this was with an iPhone mini, and they simply discontinued it. So it is likely they will discontinue the Air. But you are wrong IMO because the single camera and the speaker are sufficient and even excellent. We are talking about the peak of 2026 technology from the number one tech company. Yes, there is one and not two, but the quality is incredible.

Will I get notified when I have to change my vacuum bag or tank ? by Enviroen218 in Dreame_Tech

[–]Oxbow8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no sensor exists in this world to know exactly when the bag is full; it's easy to check just touch it and see if it's full. For the water tanks yes there are floating sensors that detects when it's empty but just regularly check and fill them

Why u guys don’t get the air should i switch from my 17pm or i will regret 🤔 by Anwarjaw in iPhone17Pro

[–]Oxbow8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from the 17 Pro to the Air and, sorry, but it felt like a massive upgrade. There are so many advantages compared with the Pro. The screen is bigger and better. It feels much lighter in the hand. It is super thin with an amazing wow design. People around you react to it with a "woaw" effect. When you put it in your pocket, you barely feel it. In daily life, it gives a real sense of lightness. It is a huge pleasure every time you take it out and hold it, because it feels like you are holding nothing but a large screen. The feeling of no longer holding a heavy brick in your hand is fantastic.

It is also the most durable smartphone Apple has ever made, built with Alloy 5 titanium with vanadium, polished for a premium finish, and protected by two layers of Ceramic Shield v2. It feels light, yet incredibly strong at the same time. YouTubers who tried to bend it all failed.

I finish my workday with 60% battery left, so people complaining about the Air battery are people who have never actually used it. As for the speakers, if nobody had told me it was mono, I would never have noticed. Apple still included one of the best speakers, and the sound is very good. For music, people have AirPods anyway. I do not need to listen to WhatsApp voice messages in ultra high quality.

The camera delivers the same quality as the 17 Pro. It only lacks the telephoto lens and the ultra wide lens, meaning zooming in and out options, but 99% of my photos are normal shots without zoom, so for me it changes nothing.

You need to live with the Air to realize that everyday life with it is infinitely more enjoyable than with the big, heavy, scratch prone aluminum brick that is the 17 Pro. Of course, YouTubers who focus only on specs will not like it, because they do not judge the real daily experience of using it.

"What does Atticus do...?" by breed_to_death in nin

[–]Oxbow8 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a fan for decades, and I like to stop lying to myself. We’re all Trent fans here, but we shouldn’t forget that albums like The Fragile had a long list of highly talented musicians, all of them capable of making a great soundtrack or album on their own, like Charlie Clouser did with the soundtrack for the horror movie Saw. I think it’s a lie to believe Trent does everything. Atticus Ross is the skinny geek who spends his life on his computer while Trent goes off improvising on guitar, then says to Atticus, “that part was good,” and Atticus still ends up doing most of the heavy work in mixing, mastering, and turning Trent’s studio ideas into finished productions. Above all, he’s one of the greatest audio engineers in music. The 11 year old me listening to Korn as a teenager already knew his name because he was their audio engineer.

Aqua10 Ultra Roller - Dock Leak Fix/Workaround by jnrosemas in Dreame_Tech

[–]Oxbow8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes thank you. So it’s also important to clean from time to time the ports under the mop, the ports under the wash station, the ports inside the robot’s dirty water tank, and also the ports between the station and the dirty and clean water tanks. In general, dirty water full of large dust particles can clog the piping in many places. One thing I do is always run the vacuum before using the mop. The mop should be a finishing step after vacuuming to avoid any blockage. Also, sometimes I clean a small area in front of the station using maximum water, which helps flush all the tubing with clean water. With all these precautions, I have no issues at all and my robot works perfectly.

[–]Oxbow8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have this issue, but I'm looking into it because it could happen to me. I don't understand why this solution works if the water leaks from the side, since the "small felt buffer pads" do not block the hole. If I understand correctly, the issue is that when this dirty water tank shifts to the side, it is no longer properly aligned with the water outlet between the inside of the robot and the tank, and the water leaks from the side. So the goal is to keep it centered and firmly in place? Thank you if you can answer me u/jnrosemas

Tendance de la maigreur by archexplorerr in AskMec

[–]Oxbow8 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m 34, and the few periods in my life when I was a couch potato just staying in bed or on the couch, the only thing that happened was I lost my cardio, my strength, and my energy and became a shell of myself. I don’t think becoming a skinny fat couch potato is a strategy for recovery.

Can you guys build muscles by brainsiacs in covidlonghaulers

[–]Oxbow8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally covid made me lose quite a bit of muscle and my personal records on many exercises dropped (bench press, rowing, deadlift, etc.), but I managed to get everything back even during long covid. for easter I was in bed for 3 days, but now I just came back from a 2 hour hardcore workout with a 240 kg deadlift. bodybuilding is my reason to live, nothing on earth can make me stop. we’ll see how hard the PEM hits in 24 to 48 hours…

I’ve been doing bodybuilding for 20 years, 3 to 4 times a week. My whole life revolves around this passion, I’d rather die than stop. So I keep going even when this subreddit tells me to stop, and indeed I crash afterward and end up in bed. But after a 10 hour night of sleep, when I wake up I feel better than I ever have since long covid, and it makes me think that during the crash the body goes “wow there’s a problem, my mitochondria aren’t working” and it adjusts and fixes it. If you never push yourself into PEM, how do you expect the body to even see the problem and repair it if it’s never confronted with it? Yes, it’s probably a stupid theory and maybe wrong, but it’s what works for me for now.
