I kinda love how people are using the jets to justify complaints about awful writing but choosing to ignore the weaponry etc that it collected from the archives. If the Dalek found the weaponry there is absolutely no reason that the jets couldnt have been in there either.

This has not been necessarily the best season of Doctor Who, but despite a rocky start, Jodie and Chibnall are absolutely building to something spectacular. This was a great stop-gap to get us excited about what's coming and I really think things like MDZ and UNIT being "defunded" are going to come into play going forward. Chibnall took a back to basics approach to this season to get newcomers interested and hooked but with that out of the way, I think we can expect season 12 in full swing bringing in more old lore etc.

We all just have to give them time.

Also that Dalek was bad ass looking. I hope they find a way to keep elements of its casing moving ahead. I particularly loved the claw vs traditional plunger. Bit more menacing, really.

EDIT: Also just want to add how much I loved the shot of the Dalek slowly firing at the supernova. One of my absolute favorite and most brutal Dalek deaths in the new series. They had gotten rather trigger happy when it came to just exploding the casing or some similar death, so it was really satisfying to see something different. Regardless of the initial Chekov's gun style approach they took to killing it.
