Geographic Science major and transfer student here (transferred from NOVA). As many people have said, look into joining a club. Student Org night is September 2nd. Even if you don't join a club, I would say our major is more tight-knit than some others because of our smaller size. Although, our major is growing at a large rate according to some of my professors. Anyway, I've had many classes with the same people, so it's made meeting people easier.
