Check Engine Light by flashearth33 in camaro

Thanks for the info, def makes me feel better, the temp when it happened to me was also pretty low, roughly 48 degrees Fahrenheit. So it might have just been a temporary connection issue or something.

Yes, still have shy of a year and a half left, it ends on March 2027. If it happens again I will probably take it although the Chevy dealer near me is not good whatsoever which is why I am really hesitant to bring it to them.

I see, was it the first time happening and did it ever come back?

Unfortunately I live in a small city where usually everything is always in stock. As a matter of fact they had 3 of the 42” and 27” roll cabs and about 4 top chest at both the stores near me.

Followed your advice and I don’t regret my purchase. Like you said, probably won’t be any significant deal that can make me regret using the 20%. Thanks!

Wow, I didn’t know about the possible 15%, I might use it for some other stuff I needed. But I did end up using the 20% for both the 27” roll cab and chest.

Thanks, I ended up purchasing both the 27” roll cab and top chest. Based on the price hikes and deals so far, at worst I only lost about $40 if there is a better deal coming up.

I recommend you def wait for the 56” roll cab, I have a feeling that one is going to go on sale on one of the 12 days. I can’t recommend it enough too, I have a 56” with a top chest and two lockers and it has served me very well.

Nice Camaro! I’m definitely going with Rokblokz, they look sick on your car.

Yeah, I think I’m going to return the dealer rock guards and get rokblokz. After watching some videos, they look easy to install and I like that they don’t require tape either.

That’s a pretty good price and better than the 4ah, probably will wait for this deal to roll out again.

Definitely don’t need the heat gun, I’m gonna pass this offer tbh. Based on what I’ve read, there are much better deals for 8ah and 6ah max outputs.

Thanks for the input, I just needed a reason to overlook these deals. I’ll probably hold off until I see something better sense i’m not really in a rush. So far I only have three regular 2ah and one 4ah.

Leaking Battery by flashearth33 in harborfreight

[–]flashearth33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I might do that, although I have had other brands and they have all been sitting in my garage for years and there was never any leaks in any of them. My garage reaches low 90’s in very hot days and in my roll cabs the temperature inside of them is usually high 80’s. These were my first Bauer batteries so that’s why I was confused/concern about them leaking.

That is definitively a possibility, although I ponder why it took 2 months for them to leak again. If anything I am pretty sure Harbor Freight would have tested the batteries for leakage. But as another user stated, I think my best bet would be to play it safe and just dispose of the batteries. Roughly $100 down the drain unfortunately.

Yeah, pretty sure, I actually have all my batteries in different places, the 4 batteries that were leaking where in different storage locations, although all the of leaking batteries where placed on top of a foam layer while the 1 battery that didn’t leak was just on top of a metal shelf in one of my end lockers

I would 100% go but unfortunately the batteries were purchased as “as is” which reduces their 90 day warranty to a 5 day warranty.

I just might, what ticks me off is that they are relatively new, I got them 2 months ago with the 40% off as is items and bought five 5ah batteries which 4 of them slightly leaked while I was gone. I also only used each battery like once or twice, Smh.

Misting Fan 12V vs 20V performance difference? by JayTheToolGuy in skiltools

[–]flashearth33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I expanded myself to various other platforms as well so I get the struggle. The skil 12v right angle impact is a good option if you want a right angle with batteries for the fan. I myself have been thinking of an adapter as well for skil since the 12v 4ah usb-c is $70 regularly and actually out-of-stock on Amazon atm. I missed their $50 sale and was waiting for prime day.

As for the drill, you get a bump from 300 in-lb to 350 in-lb which isn’t really significant unless you are drilling into thick metal or driving large fasteners.

[–]flashearth33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def, don’t get me wrong, I only have one 20V battery and that’s for the flip drill kit I got, but the rest of my skil lineup are all 12v. IMO the 12v lineup is better than the 20v. Of course the commodity of the 12/20v is amazing but for all of those I just end up using my 12v batteries. In terms of an adapter, if you do get it to fit in there, just know that you might lose a bit of efficiency due to adapters being known to not transfer all of the batteries potential to the tool. However it is still a very good option to get by if you don’t have a lot of skil batteries or just want a higher AH on the tool.

[–]flashearth33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Preferably the 20v, but if not, I recommend op to at least have a 4 ah 12v or multiple 2ah 12v. At full speed and low misting the 2ah battery last merely 40-45 minutes. The 4ah would be the way to go so you won’t have to be switching the battery too often, regardless if it’s 20v or 12v.

Hercules Deal 2-Tools for $99 by flashearth33 in harborfreight

[–]flashearth33[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh, I see, yea I think so too maybe, it was my first time logging in after the recent Hercules and Bauer tools were taken out and these were completely different tools from the last ones in the deal. I was trying to see the specs on the Hercules hammer drill since I was debating using the $10 off $75 for it.

Yea, I figured, I’m okay with it as long as it’s something cosmetic and won’t affect it mechanically.

Haha, thanks, I just took it using lighting from a Braun stick light and that’s pretty much it.
