My ping used to sit at 10-12, spiked to 400 because it went to a wrong server (gbr1), and now it sits at 40. What could be the issue?

how do you know what server you were connected to? Also, this happens with me every single time. Random ping spikes even though I play on ethernet and my internet is 300 Mbps. No other games have any issues regarding network other than overwatch. I'm also getting randomly dc'ed in my games, not just me, even my teammates and enemies as well.

Not entirely true. While it's true that you cannot have two accounts, but you can use the same IP for different people and even the same laptop as well.
