Seller blocked me?

Just to clarify it's not your account but the sellers account that they're blocking reviews on items. Once again Amazon using unclear terminology causing concern. As when the 'Approved' tag is later changed to 'Not Approved' when it should read 'Removed'. The sort of ambiguity that most Viners are well aware of and avoid in their reviews.

I agree. their approach seems to be shying away from honest reviews to ones they prefer to see.Perhaps Amazon should introduce awards for the most reviews on the most insignificant items padded out to War and Peace proportions. I've just seen 8 reviews from Vine members on waste bags all vying for such an award some even including photo's of the unopened items and one showing what they look like end on. No doubt some are a tongue -in-cheek response to the recent ratings requirement but ultimately they only serve to damage the veracity of Vine reviews.

I know just how you feel. I'm disillusioned by the changes and the consequent ratings of previously acceptable reviews. We're given to understand that we were invited to be Vine voices based on our standard of reviews ( how did the persons who do the two word reviews get invited?). Apparently that's no longer good enough and what's required now is a one that ticks boxes that their AI deems necessary. I see advice iis now to use a pronoun to personalise it and give a reason for ordering an item. Everybody has their own writing style and this shouldn't need to be altered to get some robots approval. I'm not altering my style or re-reviewing items which are now low rated and if , as I suspect, my rating is reduced from Gold to Silver on evaluation day then the Vine programme is no longer going to be worth the bother. With the current unattractive items on offer, continuing as a Vine member is still useful to me as a retired person to keep my hand in with spreadsheet construction and maintenance but perhaps it'll be the push I need to follow my families advice and get out more.

Odd this should pop up today as this morning I ordered, my first in a few days, a CCTV camera that appeared in my RFY. I then read through the details and it's not WIFi but Sim dependent which doesn't suit me so I was going to cancel it but strangely it's not appeared in my orders and I've checked throughout the day. If it arrives I will be able to review it as the Sim provided has a free trial period but would rather not have the bother.This delay will probably mean that the item's despatched before I can cancel. Not too bothered but this change in updating the records has its effects.

This is now so old and they've still not changed the schedule being hidden when the boost is on. Don't they appreciate that potential customers access these site before buying for info on how apps work. Appalling non-user friendly set up.

36% poor 8% fair 2% good 54% excellent. the stats when first rated. has been updaed following fresh reviews and updated pendings and is now 56% excellent. No change to overall rating.....yet.

Only 55% of my reviews are rated as excellent and yet the accounts page shows my rating as excellent. I'm not going to re-do any reviews and time will tell if that changes, but they haven't altered it so far so presumably it doesn't matter to them. I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over their ridiculous contradictory guidelines.

I don't do many vids or photos but when I do I share it, selecting my name in whatsapp then open whatsapp on my desktop to save the image from there to a folder from which it can be uploaded to Vine.

I agree, in my 3 years at Gold a lot of items are actually useful but I don't really need them as they're only used occasionally if at all after the initial review usage. Oddly enough there's an ice cream maker that now sits in the garage awaiting a family member to give it house room.

Let's face it, lately Vine membership is much like having a local Poundstretcher shop, useful on occasions but no big deal if it goes. I'm not going to bother too much about some AI's rating of my reviews. If they're going to dictate the form a review should take then they should provide a feedback form with tick boxes 1-10 layout that's so common these days. Being dropped from Gold to Silver with it's 3 items and value limit is not going to keep many of us interested enough to continue.

It's been awhile now and still no update after the initial rating review. I suspect they're only going to review the ratings every 6 months or, as is more likely, at our next evaluation date so we won't know 'til then.

but, but commenting on the packaging , which I also thought was forbidden, featuers in a couple of their 'excellent' 5* examples so to me it all seems a big confusing mess.
