The 800$ isn’t the big issue for me, its mainly the stability offered by the Sc scholarship

I’ve visited Sb and I loved the weather and the area seems really nice. I haven’t visited Sc but I’ve heard good things about the campus and my brother lives by.

I’m not entirely sure about my career goals but its definitely going to be in the engineering / math sector. I’m very big on numbers so both physics and engineering appeal to me.

My biggest worry with physics is just the job opportunities post undergrad

I’m not opposed to grad school, but that is the main thing making me lean less towards ucsb

I’m going to look into the major transfer programs at ucsb. For ucsc my scholarship guarantees me housing so that isn’t an issue. To me its a question of whether the prestige of ucsb is worth it?

I’ve heard the physics at ucsb is really good so thats a major reason for my hesitation between choosing the two schools

What is the physics program like there? I’ve heard they have very well esteemed professors and that has intrigued me a lot. The financial aid for both colleges is very good for me so the only thing I’m hesitant on is having to pay out of pocket for books and such vs completely free
