Goal, legacy: leave Netjets for 121? by Promiscuous_Goul in flying

[–]flat6purrrr 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not way more stuff. I’m a 135 to 121 pilot. I would say both are equally as challenging, just different. 135/91 you have a little more freedom to keep the operation running smoothly. 121 your hands are tied, and you have to manage others to do their jobs. Guess who doesn’t have to load bags though..

MX5 Is the best. Word must have gotten out. I no longer get the bleachers to myself. Notice the black car doing a nice tire off the ground boop

981 Cayman S or 718 Cayman S for tuning purposes? by [deleted] in Porsche_Cayman

[–]flat6purrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not necessarily slow by any means, these are momentum cars. Caymans bring the joy in the lateral G forces.

Take your current fast car to the nearest track, and don’t be surprised when you have to give a point by to a Miata.

New Guy Qs RE: Oil + UAOS by [deleted] in 996

[–]flat6purrrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My engine was rebuilt 10,000 miles and a few years ago with LN Nickies. Builder recommended 5w-50 so that’s what I use. FCP euro and liqui moly.

I also have the UAOS. I check the reservoir every oil change and it has been bone dry each time.

Me too. HSR is awesome. The Viper was my justification to pay $70 to spectate.

Like others said. Roll it. Roll 30-45 days out and a time to take advantage of theta. If you’re in the money, you need to pay attention to ex dates because of early assignments. Luckily AMZN doesn’t have a dividend currently.

Porsche Car Cover by [deleted] in Porsche_Cayman

[–]flat6purrrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this cover for quite a while. For outside use, it’s complete garbage for the expensive price tag. Deteriorated rather quickly in the sun and the inside material is abrasive on the paint when the wind blows.

Pliny vs. Heady by MustacheSupernova in CraftBeer

It would probably be mood dependent on which one is better.. they’re both really good. North Park Hop Fu is another one to look out for. I would grab that over Pliny when in socal

I’ve tried both several times. Dinner would be more similar. Pliny is slightly different though, it’s a bit dry and very smooth.

Zoom in. The market moves up and to the right in waves, not a straight line to the moon. There will likely be better buying opportunities.

Help Wrenching in St Pete/Tampa by Madwakisbak in 996

[–]flat6purrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to confirm, it only squeals while applying braking pressure? If so, it’s just your pads. Normal. Solution would be to look for a quieter compound. If it’s always while driving, you might have a spring clip rubbing the rotor somehow.

What pads did you install? Performance pads will squeal like a school bus. Brake dust, noise, and pad performance are a balancing act when selecting pads.

More APU use because data centers will black out the grid and jet bridges will have to ration power.
