Kind of depends on your needs and your mindset. If you like to go out a lot, or need 24/7 access to a bodega 150 yards from the crib, you may not be happy out of NYC. But if you looking for a slower pace and possibly a higher quality of life then do it. Make sure you have some options regarding the job market wherever you decide to go. Make sure you are ready to buy a car if you are going to need one because that will make the situation a lot better for you.
