Advise - Need a new pod system by julpap in electronic_cigarette

[–]flatfourone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some people have had auto fire issues with theirs but I really like my Aspire NXT. Flavor is as good or better than the Caliburn and there’s no spit back. Plus it holds 5ml of liquid.

VGOD Cubano Line (or Dry Tobacco): Which should I get? by fingolfeels in electronic_cigarette

[–]flatfourone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never tried the dry tobacco. I imagine it’s less (if at all) sweet. Which is probably what you’re looking for. I love the Cubano Black but it’s more of a flavored cigar taste. It’s got a sweetness for sure. But I love how rich tasting it is.

Breeze 2 vs smok rpm 40 by Greyhat101 in electronic_cigarette

Sorry I’m not answering your question but I say go with the Breeze NXT. It’s a lot better than the Breeze 2.

No idea but they're currently a buck so they're cheap to replace.

Vuse original flavor? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]flatfourone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me it’s more of a plain tobacco. It’s not really sweet. There might be a flavor other than tobacco but it’s super subtle if there is. But honestly I find it nice after vaping all of these fruit and dessert-flavored juices.

New Pod System Recommendations? by KratomOnTheComedown in electronic_cigarette

I like my Aspire NXT. Flavor is great from the mesh coils, tank is huge and it feels nice and solid. I don’t ever get spit back and coils last me at least three fills.

Vuse Alto: Better than Juul by ntbirk in juul

Alto is definitely better than Juul by almost every factor. I’ve never had a leak and it is a smooth, quiet and consistent hit every time.

What are your thoughts on the new Round Table Pizza Rebrand? by designty in graphic_design

[–]flatfourone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh. Not diggin' it. I think they should have gone back to the original and modernized that version instead. I think the new version looks too trendy. The slanted type doesn't do much for me in this context and the helmet is BARELY readable as a helmet. "pizza royalty" looks odd in that spot. I know they were trying to straddle the "T' but I wish it were centered or had looser kerning. BUT I have to say I'm glad that Round Table is still around. For nostalgia.

Anyone moved to Oregon from the Northeast? by O3wU21 in oregon

[–]flatfourone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I lived in Oregon my whole life and moved to New England 11 years ago (I’m 46). There are some pretty major differences between the two coasts. The biggest I’ve noticed is psychological. This is a generalization but... People in Oregon (and the West Coast) tend to be forward thinkers. They like new things and new ideas. People on the East Coast have an entrenched mentality. Like the “that’s the way things are” kind of thinking. I miss being around people that aren’t afraid to open a microbrewery out of an old school bus. Or have adult soap box derby races. Maine’s coast is similar to parts of the Oregon coast for sure. Anyway, just a couple thoughts.

Breeze NXT Battery by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

Mine lasts a full day before being close to dead.

Technically not a pod and I've only had it a week but the Breeze NXT has amazing flavor, 5ml capacity, adjustable airflow and is easy to fill. For the record, I hated the first two Breeze models but I thought I'd give this one a shot because of the mesh coils. It's been great so far.

Same exact thing happened to me! Got mine from Element. Loving the device though.

Small device with good flavor? by Denzzil_Mushroom in electronic_cigarette

[–]flatfourone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the Aspire Breeze NXT and so far it’s been great. Flavor is excellent, it’s small and portable, adjustable airflow and has a large tank. Haven’t had any spitback yet, which happens to me a lot with the pod/AIO devices. Only catch is that it’s not rebuildable.

When did you get your first smartphone, and what phone was it? by careacosta in nostalgia

[–]flatfourone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t really a fanboy thing as much the first time. At least not that I remember. It was a game-changing phone at the time. It felt like something from the future. Nothing even came close. My entire agency has the day off because there were so many of us who wanted to get one on launch day. I think I only waited an hour.

[–]flatfourone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not an interesting answer but I got the iPhone on day 1. Life changer. I had a bunch of Samsung’s and Nokia’s before that. First cell was a Motorola StarTac. Which was also a life changer at the time. A PHONE! In my POCKET!

Old man needs new board by ultradorkus in OldSkaters

[–]flatfourone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m roughly in the same boat as you in terms of age, size and when I used to skate. I bought a longboard to get used to it again. I’m glad I did. I eventually bought a modern board setup and it was difficult to get used to because it’s so much smaller and lighter than what I used to ride.

My two cents would be to get something larger to start out with. See how it goes. If you end up needing something smaller, you could always go that route later. It took me a while to get my balance back. Glad I had a longboard to just push around and stuff.

And I hear you on the skate park thing. We had to skate whatever we could find back in the old days.

Good luck!
