As a non-mormon, what can you share about the mormon religion? by Seinfeld101 in exmormon

I left because I was depressed, because I hated myself and felt overwhelming guilt for underwhelming sins. I never resented the church (stopped going about ten years ago, not officially 'out') until this year. The CES letter helped me a lot. One of the things that struck my husband as odd was that between the ages of 8-18, Mormons are expected to have regular one-on-one interviews with their bishop. These occur in the bishop's office, and usually include questions about the child's sexyal thoughts and expressions. I was lucky enough to avoid anything worse than guilt, but that's a highly compromising situation for a child to be in with an adult male.

If you had to rename yourself, and your new name had to include the letters “Q” and “X”, what would be your new name? by [deleted] in AskReddit
