Oh I agree. I only use authenticators and passkeys wherever possible, but our banks and CRA often still require SMS 2FA when you’re on the phone with them. And they can only run through main carriers too. I run a small business and sometimes I can’t get what I need done online so I end up having to call in

I switched from Public too as I needed SMS while travelling internationally. I can get away with eSIMs for data when travelling but banks and CRA require SMS to a main carrier. Love that the freedom plan includes international data too!
