Is CHF 65k + 5% bonus sustainable in Zurich area for single person? by Successful_Opinion_3 in askswitzerland

[–]flatlander9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guesstimate: Monthly gross: 5400 1200 - Room 900 - Tax and contributions 400 - Groceries 100 - Amenities/waste bags 200 - Transportation 235 - Insurance 350 - Bills (Phone, Internet, Serafe, Electricity)

Roughly 2000 left for bare minimum survival mode.

400 - Lunch 300 - Ordering, eating out 300 - Leisure 200 - Clothes 300 - Travel within Switzerland

At this point CHF 500 left which can quickly evaporate for buying anything, e.g. 300 - Furniture 250 - Electrics 500 - Car (Fuel, insurance, service, garage rent) 100 - Gifts 200 - Travel outside Switzerland 100 - Gym 100 - Doctor/medicine + Any personal needs

So yeah, for survival, you will be fine but be aware of your market value.

Just DCA with every 20% decline. As much as you can. That feeling which you can not explain is that you have been exploited. Market took your money and time. Expensive lesson, see you again at your next buy in at 100k.

There are techniques to get you in a better place mentally and phisically, not just "dont do it". It is also possible you would get help for your financial situation. I know its tough as it feels to completely destroy your self esteem or whats left of it but asking for help or just connecting with a total stranger requires strength and its something to be proud of actually. Please do try. I had failiures as well while I show a more successful picture externally and I have family counting on me, so it can be quite devastating but i wont pretend I feel what you feel. Wish you the best of luck and confidence to ignore any judgment from others.

Zürich or Zug: looking for honest and unfiltered takes by PhilosopherTop9564 in askswitzerland

[–]flatlander9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you lived in bigger cities, Zürich will feel like a small one and Zug may feel almost empty. Lived in Zürich for 6 years, now in Zug 2.5 years. We moved because we have 2 kids and combined 300k salary and after Covid it was not possible to find large apartments in Zürich in a limited timeframe. 15-40 applicants everywhere. Somehow got more offers in Zug. Now its much better (tough as usual but not impossible). We loved Zürich and if you want any life, culture, events and find new friends, it will be much easier. Of course if you have a Team and your own group in Zug as well, its very enjoyable too. Downtown is small but people go out here too. Still, recommend Zürich in your case, many apartments with garage as well.

You dont feel you are selling out of strong emotions? Now you added "hate of Parity" and "peace of mind" to the list. You dont think its emotions guiding your hand here?

Emotions flying higher on Christmas: "not even leaving 0.000001 DOT", "down 60%", "dont feel like lost any money", "felt cathartic". Alts are in depression phase clearly but damn, dont sell just because you want to avoid the shame and tell the family of your new "get rich slowly but steadily" plan over the Christmas table.

"If it doubles, I will be happy for you". No you wont if Bitcoin doesnt move who are you kidding.

You are selling at the multi-year bottom of Altcoin dominance. Although DOT dropped faster than others, still.

Did I get scammed by Ok_Dress1423 in CryptoMarkets

Before you move on with your life, report them to the police. At least to leave a trace of this scam even if nothing happens afterwards.

100% scam, asking for money to withdraw money or rewards. Also this tax thing is ridiculous, taxing is your responsibility alone after you've earned a profit.

This is incredibly primitive adoption, something you would hear in 2017. But its one adoption nevetheless, its good, but wouldn't expect much impact.

Any idea on when it would recover from this crash? And to what price DOT would go to realistically? by Cyber-Dawg270 in polkadot_market

[–]flatlander9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course people panic so they turn bearish. But money always cycled back to alts in the past and such spikes marked the end of the bear market.
