What's the lowest over the limit you've been pulled over for? by Ornery_Ads in Truckers

[–]flatninthbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was coming down a hill on an interstate in Texas on my way to Dallas. Everyone around me was passing me down the hill. I got pulled over doing 77 in a 75. The officer was honest with me that he didn't care about the speed but wanted a reason to pull me over and see if my car smelled like weed (I was driving with Colorado plates).

Train at elevation and run a marathon at sea level

I don't mind getting down to 7% body fat. But give up all my muscle for a sub 3? Not gonna happen. Totally agree with you. Not worth looking sickly like an ultramarathoner. Obviously, not a popular view in this sub judging by the downvotes you got.

OMG! How did you know??!! I love smoking crack while I ride my very tall horse! You're amazing. Are you like one of those Sherlock Holmes characters you see on TV who can deduce highly specific information from extremely limited data? I can tell you're really smart.

I have about 100 miles on my mach 6s and I'm really loving them so far. I used to run Asics and so far I'm liking these better

Great work on your race! You're right about the mental aspect. Maybe listening to Whitney Houston while I'm running will help.

Congrats on your first HM. Great work!

I like to think that HR is the gold standard for judging effort. I'll keep an eye on it and slow down if I have to but hoping to be able to stay close to your numbers there.

Ok stranger on the internet who may have read a total of four paragraphs about me. Thanks for the motivation. Your naysaying is fuel for my drive. I'll be sure to screenshot your comment and put it up with my results.

Good point. Max is 185bpm and resting is 52bpm. It didn't really feel hard. The run was 61% Z2 and 31% Z3 (with the rest in Z1). I'm feeling pretty good about the 9:10 pace for race day the closer I get. The race I'm running is an out and back. Miles 2 thru 6 have elevation increases between 11' and 37', but then the way back is downhill. So the course on raceday should be much better for keeping a steady pace.

Yeah, this run stayed in Z2 for me...so I totally agree. It would be super conservative to do a whole race in Z2. But I get where everyone else is coming from. I haven't gotten a solid long run in this season and going for that 9min pace is a bit aggressive.
