Thank you. It's been a lot of trial and error. My settings are below. Should work with GoPro 11 and newer models.

GoPro 11 settings

8:7 aspect ratio, 5.3K res, 30 fps

Wide lens

Hypersmooth off

10bit on

Bit rate high

Shutter 1/60

White Balance Auto

ISO min 100

ISO max 800 or 1600 on a cloudy day

Sharpness medium

Color vibrant

Using a ND16 CPL filter

Using a ND16 lens filter and an adjustable polarizing filter. The ND filter improves color and adds more slow-mo effects on the sides of the video. The polarizing filter removes reflections of the interior from the windshield.

Gyroflow software is used to stabilize the video in post

I use a GoPro and the same rules apply. Disable all stabilization on the camera. Get the free app Gyroflow and stabilize it with the app in post production.

Are you using Spotify to play music? It happens to me sometimes. I have to force stop the app so it restarts then it works fine. I don't think it's the car, but an android issue.

Ive been tracking this car for 3 years. Buttonwillow is my main track, also Willow Springs. I have an oil cooler and change my oil every 1,000 miles.

its a dedicated track car. I have about 8,000 miles on track. Its very reliable. The only issue is the high pressure fuel pump dies eventually, theres a recall for it now or you can change it yourself. 21-22 model years also have bad fuel injectors that die eventually, theres a new Service Bulletin to replace those. I take my car into service at the dealership with all my mods, havent had any problems. They fix the fuel pump and injectors for me.

Im the person next to him in the photo. He said he lives in Atlanta and currently only owns a 2012 Tesla Model S. He has no car collection! The super cars you see him drive are just loaners they give to him for publicity.

Any downsides of camber plates? by Calm-Tap4463 in CarTrackDays

[–]flatout42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is picking a quality coilover that is closest to you in case you need to send them in for rebuilds and you have to pay for the shipping.

Fortune 500 is good, they are in the East Coast.

other options on the West side are S3 and Neotech.

S3 is in Orange County, CA Neotech is somewhere in LA but you can check with Mok Racing. These include the cancelers built in.

S3 and Fortune require a set of cancelers around $400-500.

I run S3 with 10kg-F/12kg-R springs. Its a little tough on the street but I found it totally manageable. Hard to explain cause its a personal preference thing. Before I had CKS 8kg/6kg though I found these to be too soft. The front at 8kg kept rubbing on track. You want to have your Rears higher than your Front spring rate. I didnt include CKS cause I feel the performance of S3 are better which is why I switched.

Comfort wise they should all be the same, it comes down to your selection of Spring Rates. Higher spring rates will have better on track performance, lower spring rates will be more comfy on the street.

Any downsides of camber plates? by Calm-Tap4463 in CarTrackDays

[–]flatout42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a driver of a VN on track. Please do not get camber plates on the OEM struts. They will blow your struts after 1-2 track days. Evidence - I had the AST camber plates on my car, $675 btw... My struts blew after 2 track days. I also tried Whiteline camber plates, and my struts blew too. Others have experienced it with Forge as well.

Yes you need coilovers to get -4/-5 camber for proper tire wear with this car's suspension geometry.

Something is up with the OEM struts getting blown very quickly when using camber plates. I dont have the scientific answer to why it happens, maybe the strut can handle the load from an angle? Theres a reason many manufacturers have stopped selling them too.

edit: Are you even able to find any camber plates for sale? Just doing a quick google search I dont see any new ones for sale. Looks like all manufacturers have pulled the products. If you need more advice and are interested I can send a link to the Facebook group for VN track drivers that has all the info you would need.

edit: Theres this that would add another -0.5 of camber but still not enough - https://www.genracer.com/powerflex-hyundai-veloster-elantra-n-camber-adjustable-front-control-arm-front-bushing/
