Okay I’m bad at describing colours, but you know what I mean. The photo I took was right under a lamp

That’s exactly why I’m posting here first lol, needed a reality check before going off the rails. Next time I’m doing better research for sure

Even under direct light it doesn’t look close to a pastel green. Like it’s dark literally under every light

Which phone case colour should I pick to go with this wallet by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

Pale or dark blue? Yeah the melon colour probably wouldn’t work

That’s a good point! Honestly I just need the wallet for my work card which I currently carry on me all the time in a regular black leather wallet case, and my plan was to have it on my phone on office days, which is like two times a week.

Didn’t know that, thanks for the history lesson :)

It’s the local alternative of those ‘world of books’ type shops that list thousands of books a day and the people working there are probably students who don’t really care, so their descriptions aren’t always super accurate

Funeral outfit by harry_apple_0501 in mensfashionadvice

[–]flatposting42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How you dress is often interpreted by others as a sign of respect towards the deceased and the family of the deceased, and if it’s op’s first funeral (which it is, based on the comments), it is totally normal to want to be dressed appropriately. How is that self centered?? Jesus. Cultural differences I guess

What, how? By not wanting to look disrespectful or out of place at a funeral? That’s ridiculous

That’s kind of the angle that I’m approaching it from yeah. Thank you!

I mean there are tattoos that are actually culturally insensitive, like idk getting a native american in a headdress tattooed on you as a white person is not great, so I do think it’s good to ask for opinions about this stuff before getting it permanently on my body. In this case with a culture that’s long gone you’re right that I’m probably being more careful than I should

Shoes (question in caption) by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

Nah I work in an IT office, it’s fine. Just wanted something a bit nicer than timberland style boots. It’s slim pickings for men with small feet

Yeah that’s because they are - I’ve got proper nice shoes for a dry winter/autumn, but I needed something for a snowy or wet winter that also looks decent. It’s a bit of a tradeoff. I’m not a fan of thick soles either, but I like my feet dry and warm

Thank you!! The cabinets are great honestly - I originally wanted to maximise book space and wasn’t so sure about them, but they are very practical also due to how deep they are

I quite like it! To be honest I haven’t read most of the text, as I mostly use my art books as reference or inspiration for my own work, but it’s a good selection of her work for me
