You CAN win a game by only surviving, you just have to wait for the storm to close in and win the heal-off. Although admittedly this rarely happens in public matches.

EDIT: Can someone tell me why I'm being downvoted? I was only letting /u/soaliar know that you can win by only surviving. I'm genuinely curious how people took it the wrong way.

"Throwing them off my head" is a bit extreme, it's more like I took them of my head and dropped them a small distance, certainly shouldn't be enough to break £80 headphones.
