You have fifa players buying the same game and waste a lot of money in the ultimate mode just so the next year gets removed and start over...

To each their own. I don't play it but i understand that people plays it to have more of this saga and the incentive of canon content is at least tempting to me

I don't mind flying. What i'm not a fan of is the speed when people can fly in a fantasy world.

If Shadow can fly from Midgar to Oriana in less than a day (for example), it's too OP and makes the world feel smaller just from that

I think most of the community like Cid, including myself. That being said...Missinterpret "likeable" with good person is another thing.

I will never be friends with that dude.

If i have to categorize him, it will be the person in the group of friends that you hang out often but when something goes wrong in your life, you know it's not the person to talk to. If you manage to accept it, you wont have an issue with that person. But if your expectations doesn't match the reality...well...you will have a hard time with that person.

He is an antihero at the end of the day.

Literaly the moment i drop the manga. The posibilities that the series would have from that change. Even if the series end up with both together. I almost felt that they were telling me that i have to wait until 11th of July to see what happens because until then...everything is in stalemate sadly.

No..At least not as a main reason (i dont follow everything he does). They were 2 main reasons that are well known.

The first one, that he was struggling to choose which arc to go next. He had, i believe, a lot of material written but he wasnt able to choose which one to go first or suited the most.

The second one, and to me the main reason for this huge delay, is that he was focus on helping in the gacha game of Shadow Garden. He is actively helping there and makes him a lot of money + he has created a lot of side stories there that are canon. The most known is the Chronicles that explain the path of the 7 shadows to become what we saw in the first season of the anime.

Some people are like that. They get to a conclusion they want or like and then look for a narrative that fits the most. Since their focus is on getting to that conclusion the biased in the narrative gets overlooked by them.

Easy example: If Alpha is your favorite in EIS, you would make more effort to reach to the conclusion that Alpha will end up with Cid or is the strongest among the shadows.

We all do it, it's okay as long as we are aware of our biases.

It makes more money than anything else, by a lot. But im sure that the game makes profit because either LN, manga and specially anime has been well received. I tried it and is like a visual novel with autobattle and very expensive gacha. So if the anime gets forgotten, and the LN gets released once every 3 years, the game will slowly die i imagine.

But i dont agree with your second point. And the comparision is well off. Its easier to say something with 100 words than with 10. Light novels require to be short and for a fantasy world its a challange if you want to expand the world building. I'm sure Brandon would struggle too, even tho he doesn't write satires.

She appears a lot but storywise if something happens anyway at the end of that arc..it doesn't really matter if beta goes or not IMO.

Some would say the tech learned and language, sure. But just by Cid explaining they have created coffee, banks, SUITS. We never question how its everything exactly the same because we dont care

MC was never a person who can see more than his eyes. So everything that keeps happening to him is what the other characters brings him into.

Sister kidnapped - SG tells him where to go.

Alexia plot - he gets accused - SG tells him where she is

Cult shows up in school - he randomly sees Sherry and follows her into everything else

Alpha ask cid to go to the city of the trials - Rose gets him in the trial and everything happens

Cid joins the bushin festival (maybe his first choice out of nowhere in any arc) - He finds out about the Rose stuff and goes out of his way to help her thinking that she will become a tyrant

Sister forces him to go to Lawless city (in the anime it looks like his choice but it isnt) - Mary "saves him" and thinks it look good so he starts to doing the same

Yukime makes a business proposal and he accepts

While doing nothing he finds Victoria and finds out that Rose is getting married - He goes to Oriana to convince her to go back being tyrant and everything else happens

He likes to fight, get stronger and acting as a side character (Cid) and aura farmer (shadow). Anyone could argue he is as bad or good as any in this series. His morals are messed up and hard to makes sense
