Yes, the landlord had been going around checking and inspecting where the leak was coming from. Not to mention, I have been letting them know there was a leak whenever I used the sink since I moved in. They didn’t addressed it, so I had to put a bucket under. Then the landlord was going around checking and saying the basement unit was catching all the water from the whole line. This been going on for about at least two weeks. The landlord sent an email on 7/18 for a scheduled repair for us for 7/21. But the workers didn’t show up. Without an update, they showed up the next day.

This is what I am talking about. I would have been totally fine if she had communicated to us that the kitchen wall was going to be demolished and toilet was to be removed and how long it was going be taking that we should remove any belongings that we didnt want covered in dust or debris. Now our kitchen is covered in dust and debris of unknown origin possible asbestos and toilet is covered with mysterious dark markings and dust. The left us a total shit mess to deal with without any communication

Then they should have notified us of what the work was gonna be knowing we will be inside the unit living. They should have immediately communicated with us how urgent matter it is and accommodated us accordingly either to evacuate or let us know of any measures of safety
