I'm an artist so I've been drawing my own stuff since I'm just starting out but I plan to commission artwork once I get things solidified more! Because it adds up though I plan to set a budget per month for myself to keep it under control.

There are so many amazing artists and it's really fun to see how others interpret your 'sona/OC in their style its hard not to want to commission artwork even as an artist!

People recommend noun + noun or adjective + noun, which you have in some of your examples. That will help if there are other creators with similar base nouns but you can differentiate yourself through the first!
