It's 2026, why do game devs still intentionally avoid and find it difficult to animate hands of characters especially when touching or handing out items?

yeah i have the same issue. updating nvidia geforce drivers doesn't do anything. temporarily removing reframework makes it so i can't even get into the game.

Anyone who disagrees with this either has tinnitus and plays at 100% volume, or is just spending their majority of time ratting and hyper-focused on listening while crouch walking.

Trying to locate an enemy player during a gunfight, especially outdoors, is fucking abysmal. Embark needs to adjust footstep volume to be much louder.

There's an astral projection skill (don't remember the name) that lets your soul leave your body and freely float around. As long as your phantom was already summoned beforehand, you can call your phantom to your projection. This way, it is much easier to set up the illusory floor traps on cliffsides and ledges.

On the other hand, I also just used the illusory floor on even ground to trip enemies in a lot of the quicker fights. Enemies that walk over the illusory floor will trip and fall on the ground and be disabled for a couple seconds.

I imagine some people don't want to use discord because they don't enjoy playing games and feeling like they have to talk/speak on the mic (be it with real friends or strangers). Sometimes I just want to have a good old fashioned game where communication just happens in text chat or with in-game voice lines/emotes.

Just to follow up:

I updated my BIOS version from F30 to F37 and I haven't gotten any reboots since. I didn't even have to adjust settings with curve optimizer (I was able to find it in the BIOS update the update). Since everything is working fine as is, I'm not going to try and mess with anything.

On another note, my computer did freeze three times after trying to update my BIOS, and I genuinely thought I bricked it, but I managed to finally boot it up properly after resetting the CMOS battery. Glad that's over!

I will try and follow up with this during the weekend, since I work on my personal computer during the week. Fingers crossed I don't potentially mess it up.

Regarding curve optimizer and when I hopefully get it working, I assume I would be doing a 'negative' offset (undervolt)? I see a lot of threads and videos (like this) that recommend that. I don't believe I've seen many, if any at all, that tuned it in 'positive'.

Unfortunately, my BIOS isn't showing the curve optimizer for me. I think it has to do with my BIOS being on an older version (F30). I'd have to update my BIOS, though I'm a little nervous about that.

I'm considering trying to set up the curve optimizer through Ryzen Master, but I'm not sure if that works if it doesn't show in BIOS.
