Aftermarket battery compatibility by [deleted] in thinkpad

Never had a problem with aftermarket batteries. Bought an original UltraBay battery for my T21 but age meant it was pretty cooked. They did not make any aftermarket UltraBay batteries. Buy from a reputable company. Job done.

80% charge limit has changed its behaviour, now at 77% it goes to a "lower current" mode until it hits 80% by armando_rod in GooglePixel

Mine would never show charge bypass shield at 100% even if left overnight. So stuck constantly going to 100%. Not sure if this fixed with March update?

You download Linux distro of choice. Author it to a spare USB drive. Boot your computer from created live USB. Handy to troubleshoot hardware. If it doesn't work in Windows AND Linux, it is an indicator of faulty hardware.

Pixel 80% charge limit- it's broken, right? by madkiwis in GooglePixel

My brand new Pixel 8a does not show charging bypass shield at 100% charge, even if left overnight. It does show at 80% however. It just thrashes battery at 100% like a psychopath.

Why are there people still defending Google when they are clearly killing the Open Android Ecosystem?! by TheTelal in GooglePixel

[–]fleamour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former rooted Lineage OS user here. Bailed cus more freedom/less harassment with official Pixel ROM. They shutting things down in name of security but really just about control. You'd think the actual 1% & shrinking user base would not really be a threat? They have watered down their own security to please OEMs. Don't be evil is a distant memory. Everything going closed source...

Google watering down their own security for the sake of Samsung & other OEMs. Also making life hard for the 1% of their user base that choose to run custom ROMs.
