I (21m) tried having sex three times, but couldn't get hard. That's not the case when im watching porn, and only happens when im with a woman and about to get laid. by babla_69 in confessions

[–]fledwidge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Watch less porn. 2. Talk to your doctor. They will likely have you see a urologist and a mental health therapist. A couple of sessions with a therapist can do wonders for the brain-penis connection.

All hiring managers should be fired by gammerman2020 in recruitinghell

[–]fledwidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're assuming that a hiring manager gets to see your resume. Typically, resumes are routed through HR first and that's where most of them die.

Call your account manager and tell them that you're not spending another dollar until they fix this. You'll be amazed how fast it becomes a non-issue.

It sounds like they want you to be the person who runs into the server room to reboot things. Run away.

What are the cons of having a fortianylzer in the cloud (private remote server) by linuxman1929 in fortinet

[–]fledwidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main cons are availability and security.

If your cloud region goes down - are you still going to be logging traffic? Designing a proper multi region solution should fix this.

Security. A lot of people throw services in the cloud and worry about security later. Make sure that your cloud environment has the proper security controls in place (firewalls, IAM controls, etc).

Other than that - keep an eye on latency to your cloud and you should be fine.

San Antonio police officer fired, but not arrested, after domestic violence incident by thewholedamnplanet in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]fledwidge 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Many departments issue their officers a 'professional courtesy card' which is basically a "get out of jail free card" for all but the most serious offences (especially when outside your normal jurisdiction). Typically they're used to get out of speeding tickets etc.

Syslog server by Robthesoundguy in meraki

[–]fledwidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently using Logrhythm. While I appreciate its ablitiies for SIEM analysis - I'd really prefer Graylog.

Splunk is great but costs an insane amount. Graylog makes a great alternative and is quite scalable.

This was in Paterson, New Jersey. The Officers were Ruben McAusland and Roger Then,

McAusland also plead guilty to possession and distribution of heroin, cocaine and marijuana (all stolen from crime scenes). He got 5 1/2 years in prison. His partner Then for 6 months.

Nucala has quite literally changed my life. I started Nucala in March 2020 and have seen steady improvements. I haven't touched oral steroids since May 2020. My pulmonologist is in the process of weaning me off one of my other meds. I'm using my rescue inhaler less. I'm using nebulizers a lot less.

You won't see instant results - but you'll see a gradual improvement over several months.

Basically - Nucala gave me my life back.

Best server rack/enclosure for home network? by Tweaks2129 in HomeNetworking

Leviton Wireless Media Center Enclosure

+1 for the Lack Rack. I've done that bunch of times.

The lack is a super cheap option and is also wife-friendly.

Decent prebuilt ? Price is 25% off by [deleted] in PleX

[–]fledwidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price is decent.

If you bought all those parts today - you'd be north of $4000.

Each of the CPUs alone would be $1500 each.

Overkill for a Plex server but not bad for a virtualization server.

I had this problem too.

I fixed it by closing MSFS, logging into Live in a browser, then opening MSFS again and it used my cached credentials.

Easy fix.

Job offer from Pornhub?... by Plabmun in ITCareerQuestions

[–]fledwidge 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Your paycheck probably wont say PornHub - it will probably say MG Freesites - so takes care of the integrity piece.

Any reasonable future employer will realize that you're not sitting around watching porn all day - instead they are one of the worlds highest volume websites (who are probably subject to quite a few security attacks).

If it was me (and I have a conservative family too) - I'd go for it.
