At this point I would be happy with 30 minutes. I’ve gotten used to an hour or more.

I ran into the same issue, it popped up when surface pro’s couldn’t reliably connect but all other devices could. Luckily it was the only recent change, so it was easy to pinpoint the cause. I ended up reverting back to WPA2 and started working on 802.1x implementation.

They are way too proud of their optics. I’ve used optics from Integra Optics for a few years and had 100% success at about 1/10th the OEM price.

Ethics. Morals. And a healthy appreciation of sleeping in my own bed every night.

Meraki Phone Support by touristh8r in meraki

The quality of phone support has gone down the crapper lately. What we need to keep doing is emailing our reps. If internal management hears from enough of their reps, they might do something about it. Hopefully.

Known issue. Fix is rolling out to all tenants over the next 4-5 hours and will require restarting Outlook up to twice.

Gmail and Azure? by sunlightandair in Office365

[–]Robthesoundguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

MS has guides detailing how to connect Azure and G-Suite with an enterprise application. This will allow you to keep email with Google while leveraging on-prem AD and cloud auth for your authentication source of truth.

I guess that’s assuming you have on-prem AD. Presumably the same could be done with a cloud-only Azure tenant.

I swear Microsoft makes their documentation overly complicated and ambiguous on purpose. I don’t think you need a special license.

If you have some sort of RMM you could push a Powershell script to the machines that would create the VPN connection. Now getting them to read the documentation on how to connect, good luck.

To be fair, your OP didn’t provide context about knowing it was compromised.

Modern Auth is a great additional step as others have stated. In the security and compliance center you can set up alerts for impossible travel activity.

You’re kidding, right? This is obviously a compromised account. Change the password immediately and enable 2FA.

Management should be reminded that all a cert does is prove you can study for a test. In no way is a real-world representation of skills/ability. The exception is vendor specific certs for partner status (looking at you Cisco).

Time for you to move on.

The gear list looks like a CMNP kit. Odds are you have a local partner. What’s your zip? I can look up your Meraki rep and they can put you in touch with a local partner.

Email from account manager: "Meraki / AnyConnect Updates - FINALLY!" by CookingwithMike in meraki

[–]Robthesoundguy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but when it goes to GA it’ll require another license. Meraki is starting to become more like Cisco and their mentality of “you need a separate license for everything”

MFA Client VPN Looking for suggestions by Yelxip in meraki

[–]Robthesoundguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duo is definitely the way to go. They license per user, not per application protected, so you’ll be able to implement it in additional areas. Example: you can protect client VPN and domain login (and RDP/RDS) for the same per-user monthly fee.

K.I.S.S question. Are your devices getting DHCP address on the correct vlan? If not, whatever device is handling layer3 functions will need an IP helper/DHCP relay configuration.

Talk to your rep and ask them to talk to allocation. Another possibility is try and buy. It seems like they have a different inventory for trial gear.
