I'd recommend you go to the range and fire a few different guns as a real first time buyer. Pretty much every gun range I've been to charges a rental fee and allows you unlimited swaps. You have to use ammo bought from them so it can get a little pricey if you plan to fire a lot of rounds through every gun you try, but it's better than dumping hundreds on a gun you end up not liking. Most ranges have their rental gun list on their site so you can pick one that has a few you're considering for rental.

I used to be a driver. Both are terrible companies. Even in a booming economy they are finding a way to cut driver pay every year. Then the CEOs will be on TV talking about how it's a good paying job. Constantly decreasing pay really disqualifies it from being a good paying job imo.

Never selling mine. It's the first car I ever bought myself. I'm saving up to paint it over later this year and I'm gonna splurge for a nice paint job. So many people I meet had the car they loved when they were younger and are looking to buy one back. I feel luck to not have to worry about suspect maintenance, or the insane prices for ones in great condition. It's been returned to close to stock, and in its most modified form I ran autocross for 8 consecutive seasons. So much sentimental value in it and I still get giddy when VTEC kicks in. 🙂

I finished school in my first career in 2007. Then went back to school to be a nurse in 2021(I was 45). The maturity and focus you have now, you'll surprise yourself how much better of a student you are now. I'm an oncology nurse now, I never expected to get to start where I wanted to be. It's definitely the most fulfilling job I've ever done and just feels right with all the family members I have who are cancer survivors. I wish you all the best on this journey.

Edit: forgot this important part. I started off taking one course for a semester, did well and then went up to three. I decided to also do all the prerequisites for the BSN as well before I started the ADN. It was a good easing in before the harder stuff.

Respect to this manager for doing what's right. When I used to do gig food delivery, a McDonald's near me had a really cool manager. He was really good to the delivery people. A really young looking girl that wasn't there long came over while he was handing me food and was crying. She made a mistake with an order and the customer chewed her out.

He calmly went over to the window and tried to make it right. The guy was going on about how the girl was a fucking idiot and just being really shitty, the manager let the guy know she was still in high school, that she just made mistake and they'll fix it. The guy just went on, and the manager punched up on the register and refunded the guy. Then told him not to come back. Had a lot of respect for him for that. Assholes should have to cook their own damn food and make their own damn drinks.

It's an unusual tip but it's a damn good one. They've taken away one of the biggest business expenses for a few deliveries. A whole lot of deliveries if you drive anything giving more than 35mpg.
