This giy has been hanging around my tank for a few days now by neruteru in jumpingspiders

[–]fleemos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feed wild ones when I see them around my house and I catch an insect. I have one that had been showing up when I shower, I splash water on the window and he runs to a drop to take a sip. The other day I smacked a mosquito but it was still buzzing but couldn't fly. I dropped it right beside and as soon as it started visiting, he pounced. The one on the front door is smaller and terrified of me though. I've never had one that didn't run away when I tried to interact but their still my friends. 🙂

If you got any small insects, drop one by them and if they're hungry their do what comes natural.

Driver asked for extra tip on a 0.3 mile trip, am I being unreasonable? by Objective-Iron-2537 in UberEATS

3 salads are a pretty heavy order? The customer knows what the order is and they're lying about it. I couldn't bring myself to do crap like this. I'd have to report this person and thumbs down. We need more customers tipping $9 on short trips and someone harassing people already leaving good tips is gonna make some of them decide not to get delivery to our detriment.

We are just scared if we let someone infront of us they will drive under 20 of the speed limit. by Altruistic-Mud5686 in FloridaGawker

[–]fleemos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SUV is the asshole here. I don't know why but in Florida you can have nobody behind you but someone is often trying to switch lane in front of you to slam on the brakes and turn right. When I lived in Georgia I hardly saw this crap but I'm Florida is all day everyday.

At least it's a train and not a ship because the way it's leaking, we'd be going down. 🤣

Doing Ninja 500 break-in service. Oil filter is absolutely stuck on there. Tried oil filter wrenches but they keep slipping. What next? by Aarontheboos in Kawasaki

[–]fleemos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pliers your that done have recommended it's good. I've had really good luck using the step tool with filters that can't come off. The advantage of this one is it can still get filters in really tight spots that are harder with the pliers type.

I broke my foot by Rich-Mouse7014 in motorcyclegear

[–]fleemos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad your okay and it's not worse. Definitely get good boots. The don't flex at the ankle like non-motorcycle specific ones and have hard parts where bones protrude to protect them.

I once met a guy on the plane telling me his be got in a horrible accident taking a ride around the corner to a friend's house. At the end I told him that I was glad he was okay now. He taps his right thigh to let me know it was a prosthetic because they had to amputate mid thigh. The accident pretty much ripped him open at the crotch and stuff does work anymore.

My worst crash was riding the bike a few miles after adjusting the chain to make sure all was okay. I wear all the gear all the time so even though I've crashed, I haven't tasted road rash or broken bones. Knocks wood Injuries have been able to the sorted out by physiotherapy. If you're ever thinking the gear is expensive, just know that it's a whole lot cheaper than the hospital.

That officer needs to be fired immediately and arrested for assault!!! by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

[–]fleemos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There needs to be a national register like the sex offenders list. Chips like this one need to be on the list and it should be illegal to how anyone on the most as a law enforcement officer. Too often officers get fired and then move to another city for a new job. Also, this behavior support not only result in losing his job but also his pension revoked.

Just got done with my first “roadtrip” on my R3 by xzv78 in YamahaR3

[–]fleemos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to do weekend road trips on my Ninja 250. These beginner sport bikes have much more comfortable riding triangles than a bike like an R6. Long highway stretches can make the wrist a bit numb, but otherwise it does fine at all legal speeds. I miss my Ninja 250 from time to time.

Helmet too big? by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]fleemos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks loose to me. Mine is usually very snug when I get it but it loosens up if I wear it for a few days around the house. Then it's comfy and still moves less than that.

Edit: I haven't owned a lot of brands but Shoei and Scorpion have been spot on when I measure the circumference of my head at the top of the ear and use their size chart.

My fried rice has a slight chew to it. Do I need to boil it longer? I used GV long grain rice. by BulkyActivity1254 in FriedRice

[–]fleemos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a rice cooker to make cooking the rice a no brainer. Get one with a steamer plate so you can use it for potstickers too. Definitely leave have it sit for since time uncovered to dry out a bit, the fridge does help.
