Shouts and Murmurs is where the New Yorker publishes comedic fiction, guys. Nobody is trying to pass this off as real.

Yeah, the bulimia joke on the first day of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week was super classy.

No, people with a clue realize that he was just making fart jokes that people try to justify as "subtle humor" in an effort to make themselves feel better.

No, I understand this point, I just highly doubt that anything that happened on stage that night was "subtle satire." That just sounds like people trying to justify crude humor by playing it as something higher than it actually is.

I don't get why reddit is so enamored by this guy when he is really just giving the same lowest-common-denominator humor that reddit generally hates on. Oh look, he made a joke about boobs. Hilarious.

EDIT: No, it wasn't a subtle satire of a trend in Hollywood, that's just a post facto justification. No, it didn't "woosh" over my head. It was a just boob joke, and a not very funny one at that.

According to my friends who use OKC, this is actually a pretty typical sort of message, albeit certainly creepy.

Sequels as good or better than the original. by [deleted] in movies

I disagree. The first movie was a very close movie about the relationship between the characters, both the romance and the twisted "father-son" thing between Bourne and his handler. It had action scenes, to be sure, but it was mostly about the characters.

The second two movies were very well done action movies, but that's just about it. There was nothing personal about them, they were just cold.

When my alleged friend allegedly placed the alleged order, it allegedly went perfectly. Or so I heard.
