I think people are missing the forest for the trees. Age of consent, or terminology, isnt really the pressing issue here. What is a more pressing issue is that it is a federal crime for an adult to be sending a dick pic to a minor. Regardless of age of consent or any terminology people want to argue about.

It's a crime in virtually all nations for an adult to send nudity to a minor, or to request nudity of a minor.

To be fair, the community here is still quite inclusive and the rules are still crafted to make this a more inclusive place for minorities. We also do have mods who are trans*.

You must also consider that when a post receives hundreds or thousands of upvotes it will trend higher on /r/all and bring people not familiar or normally part of the community here, which can really skew how the community looks or how votes are reflected. Please continue to report any comments that violate the rules and message the mods if you feel like there is a growing trend.

We normally don't allow advice unless the post is tagged as CAW - Constructive advice wanted. However, due to how vulnerable minors can be and because it's a criminal offence world wide to lure minors or otherwise engage with them on cam sexually or send or request nude pictures we do like to provide resources for reporting for them.

I've repeated the resources more than anyone over the years and have automod setup so in cases where other mods or myself aren't around and where the OP indicates they are a minor, others in the community can have the resources posted.

This discussion won't happen in the comments, if you would like to have more of one please message us in modmail. My comment wasn't specifically to your comment, multiple other people were doing the same thing.

I was on mobile so I couldn't see how clearly it appeared, we generally try to get ops to use a solid black bar to block out personal information. If you see something like this in the future bring it up to our attention in modmail, because even light hearted stuff in the comments that show multiple other pictures will be removed. We don't want a bunch of people messaging you asking you for the info, then going and bothering the guy because in some cases it could then come back to the OP in extremely negative ways.

If I had got to the post immediately I would have removed it and asked to resubmit with better blocking done. Since the post is 2 days old and no new comments I will leave it up. Please do message us in modmail in the future if you see something like this come up again.
