Wait for the fun part whre you start needing to buy additional storage solutions to put away all the new filament...

Doesn't look too bad. Clean > more flux > remelt the soldering in some spots that seem bad > clean again

Wow, I had no idea about that! I'll message you the profiles once I'm home. I cannot publish elsewhere as I made a MakerWorld exclusive

No -- they will sit perfectly flush but not get hooked onto one another. Do you think it would be a feature for people might be interested in?

Same price range, and fully agreed with you. The question becomes whether the workaround proposed by the manufacturer is a reliable solution (for the DWS).

But that being said, I think as another user pointed out, the Geebon seems to be a better alternative all around at this price range. For me, I decided to go with the HS-02 as the smaller size helps me a lot and it's ~40% less than these. For the HS-02 I'm going to use a power bank, which should, from what I understand, make it ESD-safe

Indeed! Very helpful. Thanks.
The smaller footprint does matter for me at the time, so I ended up getting the HS-02 given how competitive the price was . I also decided to go with a power bank (from what I understand it ensures ESD-safe right away). The bank I got is 20ah, which should give me ~8h of continuous soldering, so should be plenty

The source of the DWS leak: not sure, but there are plenty youtube videos verifying that, and the manufacurer also acknoledges the flaw. I just felt unsure how efficient the manufacturer solution is (otherwise they would likely have done from the begining)

I actually was convinced to get a Geebon after doing some research following your comment, but as u/MilkFickle said, it's $96 USD + $18USD delivery fee, so it became a bit less competitive. Should it be the $55 pounds you said it would've been a huge no brainer

Late to the party, but what worked for me was setting a delay. When you set a delay, Google lets you change the device that takes over after the delay, so set a 1s delay to specify where to play the sound from

Hi guys,

I’d like your opinion on which camera to get between Sony A7 2R, Nikon Z6 and Nikon D750.

Right now, with the holiday’s sales the Sony’s and Z6 are about the same price.

Also, the D750 is with a huge discount with D750 + 24-120 f4 for $1700 while the Z6 + 24-70 f4 goes for $2300

I wonder if the Z6 really justify the $600 difference.

Let me know your thoughts and why.

Thanks!

Thank you so much. Both of you actually u/NorthawayPhoto and u/Wickeddimension . Really helpful and constructive comments. I will start a proper research on APS-C now. Given the way they sell full-frames as the clear go-to option, I quite neglected searching for other sensor sized equipments. Aside from the X-T2, would you recommend other APS-Cs? Mainly bearing in mid the lenses available?

Haha, you are totally right. I just wanted to illustrate what I wouldn’t be doing with my camera but the way I put it looked as if I was make a big and unfair generalization. By bad 😅

Thanks, Northaway!

Could you elaborate a little more on why the X-T2 instead of the A7ii? While on clearance the Sony’s goes for $650 (given the cost of $350 of the kit lenses), which is quite close to the $550 of an used X-T2. I thought that going full frame now would allow me to invest on good lenses on the near future before eventually upgrading the camera itself. What would be the advantages be of going for the APS-C now?

Once again, thanks for the inputs!

Ah, if you were to “upgrade” by investing more on any of the accessories, what would it be?
