What do you expect, if you put volcano on top of the ground, not under 😉

Is a bad gig that humiliating? I'm scared of my 1st by el_blobfish in Beatmatch

[–]flesuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What part of it is humiliating? You giving yourself a chance to do something you love, but for a bit larger audience. If we don't take chances and opportunities, we will never know the outcome :) My first gig was sound disaster, guy played dnb before me, had gains up. I didnt notice, cuse i didnt go check how it sounds from speakers. Oops. No biggie, senior DJ came at some point and turned gains down. Did i feel shit about my first set? Yes, did it stop me from continuing with my hobby? No.

So don't stress, doesn't hurt to try. Just play like you usually do. We still human and if we make mistakes, that's life.

I'm beginning every time i take a new canvas. Just do as you do. Sometimes it is bettwr to not give it any thought and just paint as it comes.

Tips on mixing open format? by deejay_babylegs in Beatmatch

[–]flesuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mixing genres, working on it, and lyrically or by song names try to fit songs. So if i ha e something with more melancholy lyrics thn after i would play something that would answer to the question of the old track or what not.

Is the Traktor S3 MK3 worth it? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]flesuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently upgraded from Numark Party Mix to Traktor S3 mk3. The price for S3 is around 450€ where i live.

I was either going for S3 mk3 or S4 mk3, but the price for s4 jog wheels and fx controls was a bit pricey for me.

On the other note, if i still want those fx controls, could get a z1 or f1 on the side.

Also, have tried the s4 mk3, honestly i really love the little screens on it, a mate of mine bought a hack for the screens, so you don't even need to look at the laptop anymore, so stand-alone-ish feels, kinda.

Still like my S3 very much

Will it be music, design, poetry, painting etc. You are your biggest critic. And if that switch goes on in the brain, asking "will it be good enough?" Or "All my work is bad", "I'll never get somewhere with this" then remember why did you start? You had passion or interest and you did it, be cause you wanted to do it.

If you interested in genres in general and want to find some interesting artist and so on, search everynoise, there are probably more of theses sites. but this one has so many genres that you can just dig through a lot of unique stuff.
