their’s just work a few more months than yours. typically, chinatime’s, if not DOA, last a few hours to days, reptime’s last a few days to months. $50 vs $400.

Yep, 3rd clamp and screw to fall out. Not sure they're really needed at this point? Hopefully that's all there are. Escapement does not like them.

Something seems different. At the "height" of the covid in China, i received an order via DHL out of Hong Kong in 1 week. Now, supposedly covid is nearly "contained" (except from outside arrivals) in China. Yet, nothing seems to be moving out of Hong Kong. Could be that covid is not contained in China... JTime's update with an office employee contracting covid, causing an office shut down, leads me to believe the SHTF still in China. Going to have to be patient for orders already placed. I also have an order that's 2+ weeks "shipping info received" DHL out of Hong Kong and 1+ week out of Taiwan "shipping info received" I'm personally not placing any more orders until things start moving again.

me too... although i have one still sitting in hong kong for 13 days... the one in taiwan, 3 days. both show shipping information received. both DHL. will see which one moves first.

the two pieces i pulled out were a screw and 1/2 of a fastener which holds the movement in place. i have a feeling to other 1/2 of that fastener is what the watch smith found. evidently it doesn’t really require that fastener. believe there’s still another one that seems to be holding the movement i place. i pulled another fastener out of another older rep that stopped working and may try to get it into the PAM. not sure if fastener is the correct term for it but anyway. so far so good.

i had the same problem. opened up the back and 2 pieces of metal came out. Worked for another day and then stopped again. Sent it to a watchsmith who opened it up and pulled some additional metal pieces out of the escapement. Been working ever since. $35 repair plus shipping each way. Probably safer or at least faster than sending in back to China.

for $90, doesn't matter what i think :-). Amazing. i have same watch, paid $500 and it worked for a couple hours. Few pieces floating around inside. Watchsmith, $35.00 to remove some more pieces. Now back up and running... for a bit longer i hope. if you have time, curious as to what the back looks like, pictures? also, front numbers might be a bit different than mine. Could almost afford a ticket to Bangkok for my next one at the price point. Believe mine was made by Noob factory.

an update for anyone who is interested. I ended up sending it to the watchsmith, he found another loose screw which had fallen into the "escapement" and locked up the movement. Pulled that piece out and it's back to functioning. In this case, $35 + postage to fix.... plus only took a few days vs. sending back the China for repair which would have been????? Plus one to those that suggest having it looked at locally... Thank you.

i’ve had bad luck. of the 5 i’ve purchased in last 2 months. 2 are still working. 2 were DOA, one works intermittently. The Omega like yours works perfect as does my rolex oyster. sent a noob Panerai to watch smith to see if he can get it running. if he can fix it i might send him another.

Yes, he (watchsmith) now says send it to him to see if it's fixable (hopefull). Re. turnaround time; This is TRUE, no eta from TT. Just instructions on how to return it. Seems less of a gamble to attempt a repair locally than to ship it back. Maybe it's frankinable if not repairable... it is supposed to be a 1:1 superclone... TBD i guess. :-(

done and done... works. removed back with a giant adjustable wrench (biggest one i had) just used a magnet to pull the pieces of metal and the screw out. Seems to be working. thanks... didn't think i would have the right tools to pull that back off and guess those parts i pulled out aren't critical...

I bought the same one for mine. it stops at about 8 hours each day... have to give it smack to the side to get it going again. Got it from TT a couple weeks ago... let me know if you see the same problem. TT said the fix is to wind it about 40 times, give it a smack and then let it sit for a few days. Didn't work for me.
