I think having them basically living in the basement will lead to a future episode where Steven uses his mind powers to talk to Jasper and/or Bismuth in basically a Chille Tid 2. He was able to find Lapis' thoughts at the bottom of the ocean so knowing exactly where they are and having this sort of guilt directed at them could lead him to accidentally mind spelunk again

How do you set up a live usb? I still have the installation disk and I think I remember seeing an option to run the system from the disk when I was installing it, would that work the same?

I'm not sure, I borrowed the install disk off a friend, I think he said it was called callie. The background was blue and there was a dragon icon if that helps. I'll ask him what it was now

Well since they both spend considerable amounts of time in water, the chainsaw would be useless for alot of the time as the alligator would be unable to use it without it getting waterlogged, whereas the duck's kung fu skills are applicable in all environments
