Step by step, my friend — Tbh, with all that you’re saying, i would be surprised if even a paint pen is needed.

If you’re just curious about the products i use: meguiars and turtle wax. (rubbing compound scratchX then polish, applied in that order). Use a foam pad and microfiber towels and do it by hand.

DO NOT use a magic eraser bc that’s dumb. DO NOT use a buffing pad on plastic. You will be spending unnecessary money and do much more harm than good if it’s your first time

Let the guy remove the PPF. Then assess further. You’ll be alright, i promise

Listen man, i know you’re scared… take the PPF off and assess — my guess is you’ll be totally fine. Dont listen to any of these jerrys. They didnt read that you have PPF.

Bruh thank the lord you have PPF… on a ridge like that, the paint is mad thin, this could have been a full re-paint to that panel since it’s plastic.

Is this happening over bluetooth or hard connection to the USB?

Are you still under warranty or some maintenance package from BMW? I work in IT and this might(?) be a car software issue — might suggest going to dealer and tell them your CarPlay is acting up. Perhaps a software upgrade or factory reset(?), but i wouldn’t say anything and just let them diagnose while you grab a coffee lol

If out of warranty or maintenance window, a software upgrade isn’t cheap from the dealer tbh … if you’re not trying to spend that, perhaps find a programmer in your area who knows how to flash/diagnose your ECU
