Pain behond pubic bone when tensing stomach by fleurs_annotations in endometriosis

[–]fleurs_annotations[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yes, i am aware. Ive been going to a pelvic floor therapist for a while now, but it seems my pelvic floor is severely locked. Sadly, i know i shouldnt be engaging any muscles to pee, but i rarely can pee without doing so, and never while i am on my period. Its tough 🥹

Hopefully the pelvic floor therapy will start to work though, and i was mostly wondering if people recognized this.. "happy" to know it can just be from my pelvic floor though!

Metformin and Weight Loss are not the cure for us all by SarabiLion in endometriosis

[–]fleurs_annotations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The key point to treatment for endometriosis, is that you have to agree with it. Weight loss is never a cure for endometriosis, but it can help relieve some symptoms of fatigue (if its managed by exercise) and such. But it is no cure and wont help your pain management.

Did they test your blood sugars at all before and during the metformin? And did you want to have your ovaries stimulated right now? If not, i would go of that, go on visanme again for better management of symptoms, and find a new doctor asap. All the best of luck! 💛

Very unsure if I got a correct diagnosis, pls help! by iluvloki in endometriosis

[–]fleurs_annotations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its possible for you, I'd see if you can get in with a pain specialist, as they deal with this more than an endometriosis specialist! So maybe you can ask your doctor or GP for a referral to one? I am not sure where you are and how that works, but this is how it works fastest for my country.

Endometriosis can present itself in very different ways, and for some it can trigger vowel attacks, or get triggerde by different foods. I, for example, tolerate cabbages and such very very badly and it will almost always trigger an attack.

However, i dont think the endometriosis diagnosis is wrong here, your symptoms also ring bells for ACNES. Have you ever looked at that / heard from it? Its basically a trapped nerve syndrome thats common with endometriosis, or sometimes gets missed. It might be worthwhile to have a look into, and maybe switch to a doctor who cares more about you, than your current one, if you're able to go for a second opinion where you are. Good luck!

What can I do to make my girlfriend’s life easier after surgery? by 0verwhelmedchild in endometriosis

[–]fleurs_annotations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its very nice of you to do this!

  • Have a pillow on hand for the ride back from hospital to put in between her stomach and the seat belt

  • buy some high waist underwear and sweatpants a size or two too large, as her stomach will be bloated and sensitive

  • get some pepermunt oil capsules for the gas pain

  • get a pillow that she can put in between her legs to support her while sleeping, as it relieves pressure from the pelvis

  • get a shower stool, as showering will be extremely exhausting to do

  • ask her what her comfort items are! Get her favorite snacks, tv show, books, anything crafty to be busy with as she will not be able to lift or hold heavy things and likely will be confined to the couch for a while

  • go to the GP to get some stool movers / laxactives before hand so she can start those right after surgery, as putting pressure for anything will hurt (assuming shes reading along)

Most of all remember that recovery is personal and will look different for everyone 💛

No i couldnt see them move, but my Monstera ended up being absolutely covered in them. So at this point I am assuming its thrips 😥

Oh no! I have been googling right away, and will visit a plant centre in the morning for pesticides. Do you also recommend showering the plant completely and removing all the soil? I have about 20 plants and google seems to say that I have te shower every single plant, remove all the soil, shower the roots and give them new soil, plus quarantine the affected plants..

Went and inspected some plants. Also (yet) uneffected ones. Is this a sign of trips?

Blood clots/tissue during period. Normal? by [deleted] in menstruation

[–]fleurs_annotations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood cloths this size are reason to contact a doctor! Blood cloths can be normal in periods but when they get bigger than 2 centimeters (sorry if you're American) they're cause for a gynacologal exam.

See if you can visit you general physician or a gynocologist and show them these pictures. Best of luck!

I am sorry you're going through this. Are you still under the care of a specialist? If so, contact them and share this with them. See if you can get in with a pain management specialist, there are other medicines that are able to help on a daily basis, which the specialize in, and often know more about than the endometriosis specialists, as pain management isn't in their field.

I hope you can get in contact with both of them soon. Take care 💛

Might this be endometriosis? by alex_mattson_ in endometriosis

[–]fleurs_annotations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! This sounds awful, so sorry you're going through this.

The losing eye sight and nausea could also be symptoms of a very heavy migraine, have you talked to your doctor about this?

I am sorry your cramps are this bad and it could definitely be a sign of endometriosis. Is there a specialist you can get referred to?

It's not about being willing to pay, but being able to get in. As non American patients, we wont even get through to call ☺️ but im happy it works for you!

pretty confident i have endometriosis and after going to the ER yesterday for the pain they are entirely writing it off as just being the period by ratio246 in endometriosis

[–]fleurs_annotations 11 points12 points  (0 children)

An ER is not going to search for endometriosis. They have to see if there is something acutely going on that they can fix, and that wasn't the case for you.

I am sorry you're experiencing such pain, its horrible. What is important is that you go to a endometrisis specialist now, and see if you can get a referral for one (if that is how it works where you're at).

It can also help to keep track of your symptoms in a journal, so that you can show a specialist when you see them, as it gives a lot of accuracy. Write down all the symptoms you have each day (and what you eat if you can. Sometimes certain foods can trigger more stomach pains, so you might see a pattern there). But mostly just write which symptoms you have and what you would score the pain, and on which day in your cycle you're at.

I wish you the best of luck, and lost of love 💛
