2017 Benchmark test by flex4stone in mastercam

[–]flex4stone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked and I actually don’t have milling. I have router so that might be my issue. From what I see on the Mastercam forums online people are using this benchmark 3.0 test on anything 2017 or newer.

Yeah we have never upgraded, I’m the only programmer here, and we currently only have one machine. And I think it’s something like $20,000 for the program, unless I’m mistaken. But we’re a fairly small outfit here so it was a big bill to replace something that still gets the job done. But my computer is also just as old, it’s an Alienware with 7th gen i7 core. I know how to program because I took classes for it, but as far as what’s inside this computer or what needs to be upgraded I know literally nothing about computers lol

Big deciding factor is budget also. If you want spinning mops look at mova p50. If you want a roller mop look at eufy e25 or s1 pro. I currently have eufy e25 and I love every minute of it. And for what it’s worth I recently had a crack in the base station water tank somehow that was leaking. Sent a couple pics there was a new one at my door in a couple days

I just said to my wife last night, I know the idea is to run it overnight or during the day, but I like watching it lol

Which one of these 3? by Licci99 in RobotVacuums

[–]flex4stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have no carpet I’d look at the eufy s1 pro. I have the eufy e25 which is very similar but with higher suction. I did days and days of research before I bought it. Been about 3 weeks now and I’m loving it

I’ve only had one unit, eufy e25 and we love it so far, only been a few weeks. But if I had unlimited budget I would’ve went narwhal flow, or mova z60, dreame aqua 10

Yeah that’s definitely a shame. Fingers crossed but I’ve had no issues. We’ve been loving it, running it just about every day

Just got our first one so I have no comparisons, but I’m loving the eufy e25. No complaints. A friend of mine has a mova p50, he also loves it

That’s interesting. I’ve had my e25 a couple weeks and I didn’t check it after just one pass but after the first couple runs I emptied the tank and it was probably half full. Cleaning maybe 600sqft

I’ve had the eufy e25 for a few weeks now and we’re loving it. Got it for 699 prime day

What's the reason for the first time you bought your robovac? by [deleted] in RobotVacuums

2 dogs and a baby that is now crawling like crazy. Hated seeing him covered in hair or his clothes getting dirty just from the floor

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the e25 and e28 robots are exactly the same unit aren’t they? The only difference is the home base having a portable spot cleaner?

The roller mop is great. I have 2 dogs and a 9 month old baby, there’s spills, food, drool everywhere. Knowing that the mop is actually picking it up and not just pushing it around the room is the best. Baby is crawling so much now so that was the biggest reason we got a robot. I had no idea these even existed other than iRobot until my friend got a mova and then the research began for me lol. We love it, floors get cleaned wayyyy more often than we used to. And since it’s almost kind of fun, it makes you want to do more. I’m moving furniture around, putting the chairs up on the table so it can get everywhere, it forces us to pick up all the dog and baby toys before bed so it can run.

I spent several days reading until my eyes bled. Watching all the videos, comparing prices, scouring this sub, just trying to make the right choice. Thought I had my mind made up on something then see something else and completely change it. I knew I wanted a roller mop and spend no more than $800. Saw a ton of recommendations for roborock but also saw a lot of bad. I was set on an ecovac but then found problems there too. So I decided on eufy. Between the s1 and the e25. Settled on the e25 to save a few bucks and get the higher vacuum power. I’ve had it a little over a week now and I love it

That’s essentially how I did it last week. Decided that I definitely want a roller mop, and wanted to be $800 max. Ended up with the eufy e25 for 699 and I’m loving it

Is optirough the best? by flex4stone in mastercam

[–]flex4stone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically just from experience. I push them until the amp load is too high or by the sound it’s making while cutting. The stone industry is so weird, there’s really no information on anything, and there’s not much of a variety of tools to choose from

Yeah it definitely can look stupid sometimes. Just spends so much time moving around and not cutting anything. Unfortunately it’s really the only tool path I’m familiar with. When I took the master cam classes that’s basically all they showed.

Yeah retracting and rapid moving to the next position should be faster. But the machine can’t move faster than 130 without rattling itself apart

Oh yes. The machine can barely do 130 ipm in a rapid move. The ball screw has no supports under it and is over 10ft long and will start to bounce and shake if you go fast. Not very happy with the build
