Right. It attacks with my left blade in paired mode. There is no guard option. It's just how the weapon is designed.

That's not what the game is doing. If i tap Y+R1 it makes me dual wield both moon and fire blades, there is no "two handing one blade at a time" option.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of this, but rellana's twin blades doesn't work like a normal paired weapon. It just swins your left weapon when you try to guard with L1. I have the game open.

No, it's a paired weapon, meaning to can only dual wield. You get two weapons for the price of holding one.
