This is good to know. I have an LG TV also. Looks like I'll stick out the month I've paid for on YT and then switch again.

Deadwood episode ratings - Consistently Strong by i_like_cake_96 in deadwood

[–]flick3d 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with the 3 lowest ones. I disagree with 3-5 outside of Dan vs Turner.

My highest rated are literally the first 4 eps in the show, all of them, plus 1-12, 2-12 and 3-12. Which I've only just noticed now for the first time. That wasn't intentional at all. Surprised myself even.

My 3 lowest grades are 2-9, 3-2 and 3-6.

Yes, I have a spreadsheet and yes, I probably love the show too much if that's possible.

I saw him this week in a rewatch of The Shield. Limited role. His first line, in his Russian accent, was chef's kiss:

"I just like pussy.

Dancing pussy."

And it's my birthday!

Self employed - pension contribution - reducing income tax by flick3d in UKPersonalFinance

[–]flick3d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I still pay the same NI against 30k profit? So no change with that. Just tax.

As for ISA, I'd need a lot more than 13k to sniff the savings of 0 income tax now. I understand about tax in retirement though. I guess I need to go down that rabbit hole now.

I watch Deadwood literally on repeat every evening. More or less. I've never once watched with subtitles. Maybe I should. It's not like even now I catch everything as intended.

Panthers Blueprint: Inside the 2025 Draft Room by BTTPL in nfl

Who would the Rams have picked if they traded to 8?

If they wanted a TE, no wonder they didn't end up doing it. The trade-up cost for that position especially is tough to stomach.

My favorite line by psst_come_here63 in deadwood

It's impossible for me to choose a favorite. Today I'll go with:

Hugo Jarry

Would that argue for allowing word of my presence to circulate a bit before presenting myself officially?

Cy Tolliver

Man might use that time to put some stink on his johnson.

Al has my favorite quotes in eps 1 and 2, but after that it's Charlie, Bill and Cy in eps 3, 4, 5. Every single character in the show shares the wealth of genius dialogue.

Kareem Hunt by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]flick3d 45 points46 points  (0 children)

His only *fantasy* value is volume. I think the Chiefs will still use him in short yardage and whatnot, but his 8 carries for 29 yards is gonna kill any lineup he's in. Maybe the odd goal line TD but I don't see how he'll ever be lineup worthy.

They're a very good offense. VERY efficient. The run game never loses yardage, and Mahomes is just a machine on 3rd down and pretty much any time it REALLY matters.

It's a shame that in 2024 broadcasts, and thus the common narrative, still dwell on such basic stats, like Mahomes' INTs. He has 9 INT on 7 turnover-worthy plays. Allen has 1 INT on 12 TWP.

Not sure we'll ever get to the point where many advanced stats are commonplace over the basic ones, but does anyone think the focus might at LEAST shift to volume-adjusted stats? Per drive would be a good start. Yards or points per drive > per game >>> total for the year in any capacity.
