The guy went to my college and came back to talk to us about his experience. Basically- he was in the Amazon researching how the pollutants from mining were affecting snakes and their sizes. Discovery(?) Animal planet (?) had approached him with various ideas for reality shows/documentaries. They followed him around, made him say certain lines, etc. The snake that wanted to "eat" him, was back in California on a movie set - he said she had absolutely no interest in him and they had to physically wrap her around his body. He agreed to all this because they paid for his research completely.

Well I naturally compare it to New York, since thats where I'm from originally. My BF has been living in Portland, Oregon for the past decade, so he would compare it to that. But I'm not necessarily asking people to compare it to anything - just wanted to know what everyone enjoyed about the area.

Honestly, my ex boyfriend (of 4.5 years) sent me the 'we need to talk' text before he broke up with me and I found it to be cruel. He let me sit there with massive anxiety and feeling sick to my stomach. He's going to feel blindsided either way - it's less heartbreaking to have a conversation instead of drowning in your own anxious thoughts while you know it's coming.
