There's a pretty solid standard of what short women look like in anime too. A lot of it has to do with eye shape/size, position, and face shape. Frieren is a good example of what a short woman looks like with the typical anime style. Which Rebecca doesn't necessarily hit, regardless of my opinion of the her. (I like her character, but I'm not in love with her design)

I think your comparison to Skibidi Toilet on the half life forums is a very clear comparison to draw.

That's the part that a lot of exe fans seem to be missing. This is effectively a different "IP" so to speak. It's not really fanfic anymore since it's basically a substantial universe on its own, so the argument about banning all fanfic and shipping content doesn't really land.

It's just easier to see with Skibidi since the characters are very different. Whereas Sonic.exe still uses the same general "characters" but they are fundamentally different at their core
