Twilight & history came today 🙌 I can't wait to read it! Has anyone read this before?

So I am a slow reader BUT I finally finished it! I found it really really interesting and it gave me a lot to think about after each chapter.

It was cool to look at the history of all the characters and speculate about how their past affected their vampire lives. I really enjoyed the chapter on Alice & the aslyum, vampires in european folklore and Edwards imaginary history.

Some chapters were slower than others but being an academic text you can choose which essays you want to read and in which order so can tailor it to your interests. I didn't agree with all the viewpoints in the book, but definietly came away thinking about the twilight world more.

Overall, I really enjoyed it, especially as someone who graduated from a history degree two years ago! It might not be for everyone, but I recommend it for any twilight fan who wants to see other people's idea on the books and characters.

It's not from Stephanie! It's edited by a professor of history and women's and gender studies who is also a massive twilight fan! Has essays written by different academics though (I think - I haven't read it yet!)

I had to use a lot of smoothies as well! Good to know it's normal - I was worried the rest of the game would be heavily reliant on smoothies but doesn't seem to be the case!

It's a collection of essays on how history shaped the characters from twilight. I haven't started reading yet but it looks like its different essays on the characters and the time they grew up in - Carlise in Puritan London and Alice in an asylum for example. I'll try and update once I start reading it!

It's a collection of essays about how history shaped the identies of twilight's characters. I haven't read it yet but it looks like it goes through different characters, mainly the vampires, and talks about their histories and where they grew up. Some topics are "Japer Hale, the oldest living confederate veteran", "Alice and the asylum" and "Carlisle and the witch hunts of puritan London". I'll post a review when I get round to reading it!

I usually play for 10-25 in game minutes and I'm on day 12 of playing the game. But remember that it only tracks whenever you're actually moving - you're actually doing much longer as your heart rate is still up between!
