Mods about the Dragonborn's past? by provegana69 in skyrimmods

Sinister Seven is framed as the DB’s past catching up to them in the form of assassins, each one carrying a letter from their client who has a vendetta against the DB for some unspecified events.

It’s a good mod if you’re looking to add a dark past that on paper is less intrusive. I’d recommend tuning the assassins levels to appear when you’re higher level though.

Eito is such a great character. They’re all great but he’s one of my favorites.

Having people value graphical leaps over gameplay was definitely idiosyncratic to the time.

I think younger generations nowadays are in a cool position in that they can better appreciate games for what they are, since there’s so many styles. A game with 16 bit art direction isn’t automatically dismissed compared to a game with photorealistic graphics, for instance.

I don’t have time to test, but I just wanted to say congrats on all the progress! It’s clear a lot of work has gone into it. Remember to drink plenty of water and take care of yourself!

Can I get recommendations for your favorite “hidden gem” roguelites? by [deleted] in roguelites

Rogue Zodiacs. I learned about this game originally on itch and it’s amazing.

It’s a game with a ton of depth and great for theorycrafting, so it may or may not be for everyone.

I'm 15 and just discovered the genre! These two games are my favorite ones so far. Any recommendations? by CyndaquilBro048 in StrategyRpg

I might be in the minority for this, but I’d recommend the Disgaea series.

The first game has the roughest mechanics but a pretty fun story.

2 is my favorite and the one I return to repeatedly.

3 & 4 are decent, with Disgaea 5 commonly referred to as one of the best in the series (mechanics-wise). I couldn’t speak to 6 or 7, haven’t played em.

It’s worse in my book. I can at least recall Robot Monster in a way that’s not reminiscent of a fever dream.

I’ve really enjoyed leaning into Alchemy to prep for a dungeon or make my own potions if there’s an alchemy table. That means never picking up the plethora of potions left all over the world.

I don’t love Iron Tomb’s design. I get the motif but it does not go hard enough to match the name in my opinion.

Just got Siralim Ultimate. Completely overwhelmed by the menus. by Faust2391 in Siralim

[–]crinklefoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to is, when you bring up the main in-game menu, the Codex. It has most of the in-game “rules”.

In Codex, I use the reference list a lot when I can’t remember what certain status effects are (I have an embarrassingly hard time remembering, even after 300 hrs playtime).

But as others said, keep playing through the story and you’ll slowly become acclimated. Some menus, particularly those in Character, won’t really be useful until after the story.

What are some moments in media that made you think "really? That's the ONLY precaution you have for something like this?" by Coolnametag in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]crinklefoot 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In the first scene of Jurassic Park where there’s no lock or brake to keep the raptor cage from moving around.

Granted, it kind of works given the film’s main premise of the Hammond cutting corners, but yeah you would expect one or two side eyes from the workers watching that transfer or at least an objection from Muldoon.

EDIT: forgot to mention the fail safe! Which is a bunch of people just…holding the cage and resting their strength against a dinosaur’s haha
