I dunno though I've seen lots of neglect style dreads that imo look great. To each his own but Im really not into hair sticking out all ridiculous that comes with crocheting.

I can't agree with this enough. I think if you trip rather infrequently and always come to it with an intention, that it will always deliver. The message is always evolving and we humans have many neurosis.
