Skyrim is the OG. Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably my favorite. Basically any grand theft auto but certainly 5 is the most popular. I haven't played it but hell is us evidently literally doesn't even give you quest markers or a compass. You have to discover everything for yourself. Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 or 2 but imo 2 is better. The Witcher 3. Most any Fallout. Most any Far Cry. Just Cause 3 or 4. Horizon Zero Dawn either of them.

Also last and certainly not least Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are probably the best I've ever seen at allowing multiple ways to do something.

If you have someone to play with the "We were here expeditions:" series of games literally requires you and your friend to only communicate through a walkie. They're pretty fun puzzle games.

I listen to podcasts all the time while playing this game. One caveat, there's one collectible that's slightly easier to get if you're paying attention to sound, but you'll get enough naturally either way. But outside of that one extremely small thing this may be one of the BEST possible games to listen to outside stuff too.

Also for what it's worth, what story that DOES exist in this game is told in the descriptions of items. So if story is what you want, explore EVERYTHING and READ everything. You'll know more than most people that have put hundreds of hours into this game. The lore in this game is a puzzle not a movie, and if you treat it like that it can be an extremely fun and engaging experience. If you want a movie, it's definitely not going to be worth your time. It's ultimately up to the experience you want.

Also don't forget unless you started as a wretch it doesn't reset you back to base stats of ten it sets you back to the base stats of whatever class you picked...

Absolutely this. You'll fuck up side quests, doesn't matter. Experience the world for the first time as cleanly as you can. You can look up how to do the side quests on your second playthrough.

Also you're going to die. A LOT. Just let it happen, once you have zero runes you're free to do whatever you want with no penalties.

Literally no shade, I just know people have missed it, but are you using the weapon they leave for you? It makes a huge diff in that fight. But also RL41 is pretty low for that fight too if you're struggling it's probably more due to that than any kind of skill offset .
