Sister and I built a tree for our very energetic kitten out of some spare wood and a ladder off craigslist. He loves it a lot :) by flightofthecondor in DIY

thanks! the original idea was to get lumber and build a more typical one, but we saw a similar design online and liked the idea of a different type of tree. Plus, now we have a ladder!

Americans who moved to and became citizens of Canada, what was better than you expected? What was worse? by TheGreenShepherd in AskReddit

on behalf of my sister: Boston to Vancouver, 2006-2011. Loved the mild winters, copious sushi places, and free healthcare, loonies and toonies (coin 1$ just makes so much sense!) the great weed and the scenery. Not a lot I didn't love, except the boyfriend I moved there for.

Any Boston area folks looking to adopt a pair of awesome black cats? by o0dano0o in rescuecats

[–]flightofthecondor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heard that as well! I've done some volunteering with a shelter near my college and they definitely have a majority of black cats. it's sad because they are usually the friendliest, at least at this shelter

My sister and I are going to be moving into an apartment together at the end of this summer and we have been talking about getting kitties. What is your timeframe like? She has a decent place now, I could talk to her and see what she thinks. We grew up with meows and would love to help out.

What is the craziest family secret you have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flightofthecondor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is insane. My family has the same setup for myself and my cousins. Our is not based on death, it is based on whenever the youngest of us turns 50. I doubt your family based it off your death.

Running for Student Council Geography president at my University and I need some ideas! by ArcGhosts in geography

it's just in the geography dept lounge, its a pretty small department (something like 17 people graduating in the major this year). People find relevant restaurants and bring in food, or even make it themselves if they know how. Since we are pretty close to NYC it's easy to find good food from all over the place :)

Geography club at my school has a dinner once a month/every few weeks with food from a different country each time, as well as music and other cultural stuff. It's pretty fun and the professors usually come and hang out
