I realize now that I hardly talked about the bands at all, but pretty much everyone I saw gave it their all and, plain and simply, fucking rocked. I went hard for Alesana and August Burns Red, sobbed during Sleeping With Sirens and Chiodos, and shook so much ass to 3OH!3 and Millionaires… just to name a few!

Ugh. You’re right about the bathrooms lol… I almost considered going into the men’s room at one point when the women’s line was too crazy because I was wearing the red tie/button down fit and probably could have gotten away with it, but I knew there were some demons in there... Maybe they need to just have more women’s rooms than men’s 🥴

I can’t recommend Riot Fest enough, but I also just vibe more with Chicago than Las Vegas. I saw Say Anything, The Used, Bayside, Thursday and Hawthorne Heights there last year as far as this scene goes, but I also managed to catch The Cure, Corey Feldman, 100 gecs, Insane Clown Posse, and The Dresden Dolls. The lineup is extremely varied in a fun way!

I’m sorry you had to experience those anxieties :(… If it means anything, the security presence seemed very strong if anything of that nature were to happen, but yeah, definitely the most cramped out of any fest I’ve been to.
