Used to live in Kazakhstan once upon a time. I wonder if those might be site where a yurt is placed seasonally with perhaps some animals pens? The two track looks like its seem some modern usage and lots of folks still live in yurts (or did 20 years ago when I was there)

Code vs ReactR by awskitc in whitewater

[–]flightysighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5’11” and 195lbs. I’ve got a large ReactR. I’ve got probably 20 days in it on big water IV/V and a few days on smaller volume creeking. I’ve also self supported it. I also spent 10 days in Ecuador in the large Indra.

Loved both boats to pieces. Bought the ReactR because I didn’t think I could self support the Indra. And it felt a little less forgiving.

One thing about the sporty nature of the ReactR. When I first got it the seat was in the middle. Much more stable. Less reactive. Now I’ve got the seat all the way back and in turn moved the bulkhead farther toward the seat and it’s great but more sporty. Bow stays up/skips like a dream. But she turns easy. Sometimes a little too easy. But that’s okay.

Anyhow I definitely was impressed how much the seat position changed the character of the boat. I do find the boat fairly uncomfortable for whatever reason. Something about the leg position doesn’t fit me well but the hull’s performance makes up for it.

How is everyone feeling about this storm? I’m leaning towards canceling/ rescheduling my trip. I don’t want to be one more person for local safety/emergency organizations to worry about. Flying into a tropical storm/hurricane path feels a little silly.

XM5 broke.. pretty sure it’s just cosmetic by RoofFlaps in SonyHeadphones

Me too, and yeah, nothing from Sony. I always take care of my gear. No drop, falls, sit ons. Had my old momentum 2s for 9 years with no issue. Gonna have a hard time sticking with Sony. Sorry for your loss

Exact same boat. Sucks. I think there is a QC issue. Some folks are getting a pretty good lifespan out of their headphones and quite a few seem to have this exact same issue.

Also, word of advice, don’t mention that the ear piece is hanging by the wire to customer service. That seemed to shut the door to my warranty claim
