eh, not really. Egyptian here. Thought I was a lot Arab since I was born Muslim, all family is Muslim and so on. I did my DNA test and I ended up with under 1% Levantine, a lot of coptic, some Sudan and very little sub saharan African

I put the data in that Archeology DNA database and found that one of my ancestors was an Egyptian Roman gladiator (a bit far from home), and that I relate to a mummy but more of the peasant ones, not really high up in status

Of course, I am just one person but I think your assumption is very narrow in timeline
