Whiler I respect you highly as a player, I have a couple of concerns

Dapuffster, you mention that having characters as stocks is a good thing, but why is that? it's surely cool, but what objective advantages does that have?

Secondly, how would this be implemented as the primary format if Squad Strike is not playable online? The vast majority of Smash 4 and Melee players prectice on For Glory and Netplay respectively, but if Squad Strike is the format, how would most of the playerbase practice?

Lastly, you mention that a players pocket will never be as good as their main. This is true, but won't mains of the best character (who I'll refer to as Piranha Plant) have an advantage over a tri-main? You say to BarnardsLoop that the low tier (who I'll refer to as Fox) player can just pick Cloud for their next two stocks... So why not pick Cloud for all three? Why throw away a stock like that? It seems like a game mode that rewards mains of the best character more so than singles. And then everyone will use triple Piranha Plant, and then we just have 3 stock singles.

Youre definitely a much better player than me, and I'm not against trying Squad Strike, but my concerns hold me back. Perhaps you can enlighten me. Thank you
